Heard there's 22 skaters for 12A's in Prior Lake?

4 kids will have sit each game.

How could this possibly happen when there was a merger opportunity on the table?

Just in case any of those girls have any second thoughts about even playing this season, Minnesota Made has many programs which could possibly serve as a replacement to a season of hockey. It's tough to replace a season of hockey but MM has something just in case.

So do they have that many kids on their 12B team as well?

They'll have no 12UB team.

So all 22 kids would be on an A team (assuming some kids don't pursue other options).

That will be ugly. With only 22 kids at the U12 level, all 22 cannot be "A" caliber players.

Why don't they just have two small teams and have players play the appropriate level. With only 60 minute games, a 10 person 12B team and a 12 person 12A team is fine. Does that 22 number include goalies, or just skaters?

Purely politics and posturing vs what's in the best interest of the long term girls development. This is one thing some parents don't understand or don't care to. Boards w/ experience typically understand this and generally make the right decisions in what's in the girls best interest.

Though Prior Lake has long term "leadership" and "experience", how this was the net result is befuddling.

I have no idea what's happening in Prior Lake in particular, but this is not befuddling. Just because someone has been on the board a long time they are not automatically understanding and with the kids' best interests in mind.

I have no idea what's happening in Prior Lake in particular, but this is not befuddling. Just because someone has been on the board a long time they are not automatically understanding and with the kids' best interests in mind.

Precisely my point. Note the words "typically" and "generally" were used. Furthermore, note the term "good leadership" and "solid experience" are absent!
