Just curious, the team that won the 2000 level, the MN Wolves. There was a "rumor" that this team was really the 2001 MN Blades just playing under a different name but I have no way of knowing if this is true (I did see alot of "Blades" gear on alot of kids running around the Schwan Center but did not know what teams they were or were not part of). Can anyone shed light on that one way or another?

Yes, they were the MN Wolves. I had a personal, face to face conversation with one of the coaches / parents / boosters at the rink. The 2001 Blades did play as the MN Wolves in the 2000 OPEN bracket.
Geez, I know it's been rough getting out of pool play lately ... but come on. Going after Team Papa Murphy's ???
And ... no sour grapes here. No horse in this race. In my opinion ... etc, etc, etc.

01's playing against 00's and a 6-4 win is embarrassing?
Re: MN Meltdown Open Tourney Results
Thanks for clarifying. I was curious if that was them. They were a very good team, would have liked to have gotten the chance to play them.MnMade-4-Life wrote:JSR wrote:Here are the results from this weekends open tourney.

As for the Papa Murphy's question, not sure what you mean? Or maybe the question wasn't meant directly for me. Sorry if I am confused.

I'll disagree in general, but no offense. Opinion. 1 year up in maturity/size/strength equats to 1 year younger with greater skill, so I guess my expectation in general would be a relatively close game. Score also not necessarily always a good indicator as to how the game went.
