Not including the 03s, they have one team with a tie, all the others are 2-0. Not a lot to jump on yet.Skatesharpener wrote:Maybe the delay in posting the scores has to do with how the "home teams" are performing?Skatesharpener wrote:98 Machine tied 98 Edge at 3's.scoreandscoreoften wrote:Any more scores? Its just part of the developmentspecialk wrote:What was the fight between the two 2000 Machine coaches about today, I walked by them in the hallway and they were still going at it - Seems things are getting a little stressful on the freight train - feel bad for the little passengers on the bench that have to listen and see that.

So its Warriors vs Bauer in the finals in 2002
Machine and Bauer in 2000
Machine and Bauer in 1999
Jr Steelers and Chicago Mission in 1998
A very good chance it will be Machine and Selects in the 2001 as well.
Looks good for the Machine and Bauer programs. Just a cpl blemishes in a couple of divisions.

I agree. I guess I'd like to see the scores online a little quicker. Does it cost a lot to provide real-time stats online? For the price of a couple of hotdogs and a coke, you could probably get someone to sit and watch a hockey game and pump stats into a computer. Isn't there an app for that?old goalie85 wrote:Getting to be a strong tourny. To bad the Blades didn't play. Nice job by some of the "newer" programs, Reebok Nats, Edge, etc. This could become one of the top events in the nation. Good job Mn Made.

You expect Bernie to spend his lucky dollar for online stats???? It's money saved for parents, set aside for parents for their kids training. Same goes for the four dollar scrimmage jerseys.......HockeyDad41 wrote:I agree. I guess I'd like to see the scores online a little quicker. Does it cost a lot to provide real-time stats online? Bernie's hotdogs are probably more expensive.

Again, It's 4:00 pm and the 7 and 8 am games are not even on the web yet. Also, you would think they would want to get the Championship scores on line ASAP, especially if the Machine teams won. Not everyone can get out and watch these games. Come on MM try a little harder.HockeyDad41 wrote:I agree. I guess I'd like to see the scores online a little quicker. The 98' Machine team would be one of their best if your theory is correct.... Think a little!Shortsidegoal wrote:It's hard to build a team around one player, Even when that one player seems to be not getting any better. They (The Icemen) clearly do not belong in the Elite division, they are more of a AAA open club these day's. Also, trying to re-tool a team every year, you don't get the team building aspect, as you would by staying with the same kids year after year, It's almost like the monopoly program.InigoMontoya wrote:What's happening to your home town Icemen?old goalie85 wrote:Getting to be a strong tourny. It appears Old Goalie's "home team" is the Nats as he has stepped up and noted over and over. He is also a great hockey fan and a great Minnesota fan. He is not out here boasting, he's making fun predictions. He also supports the underdogs - thank you Old Goalie as most of us are.
There are maybe some Iceman teams that don't belong in this Invite - but I did not follow the other age groups. However CLEARLY you don't think things through other than an agenda to attack their team or program even when you don't have a dog in the fight. Hmmm - one in the same moniker as ExNhler guy/gal it seems. Clearly the 2000's are at this level and if they are not then neither is Orange County, Alaska, the Stars or the Edge, and you have a 3 team tournament - wouldn't that have been a smart/fun tournament - so get a clue. Secondly changing out 3 kids is normal (one of which didn't show up for tryouts) even for open teams. The Orange makes changes to as do the Blades - your not thinking again.
Iceman put a scare into the Machine for a bit going 0-0 after one period, if there wasn't a scare then why was their an apparent fight amongst the coaches as someone noted earlier (as they were coming off or going on between periods?) Why was at least one of the Machine players belittled by the coach/grownup in the first period? The Iceman also led the Lightning for most of the first period and were 1-1 well into the second until one of their D left the game as a result of some penalties. No one is contending they are as good as the machine - they shouldn't be, it's comparing apples to oranges. We are proud to be Iceman and we had a great weekend.
Stop being a hater and just enjoy youth hockey.

His kid plays for the Nats, but he's been an Icemen supporter for quite a while. Just wondering about the program as a whole - 96s, 99s, 01s. I thought maybe he might have some insight as to why a program that gets listed on this forum as a perennial top ten program doesn't have a team at every level. Also wondering where the Rockets blasted off to.

Inigo- My Icemen??? I have five kids that play hockey NONE play for the Icemen. I do like programs like the Icemen,Nats, [Where four of my kids skate] ,The Edge, & maybe even the m-gold. These are changing the landscape on "summer" hockey. I'm not sure if you can read, but, I'm from FL the Icemen are from Maple Grove. My biggest problem w/youth hockey is I enjoy it!!!! [even w/nutjobs like you] Talk later have to go to Richfield for practice.[I'll be @ next door to the rink]

No, I don't think they'd do it, but online stats would make the tournament better. I agree about the jerseys too, however, I thought MM had the cheapest piece of crap jerseys until I saw what Legacy is giving their kids this year. We have a new winner in that category.
I happen to like the hot dogs at Made. Overpriced and soggy, but at least there is old ketchup and mustard to go with it.

00 Icemen hardly put a "scare" into the Machine as noted earlier in the semifinal. Shots were 70+ to 12 or so in favor of the Machine. The Icemen goalie was the MVP for sure! When the parents cheer a slapshot for an iceing, you know it wasn't even close. No moral victories to be had from this game for the Icemen.
Machine beat the Bauer Selects for the second time in three weeks 3-0 in the championship. Only the second loss (and shutout) in 2+ years for the 00 Bauer team. Bauer was out chanced by at least 2-1 and game was never indoubt after the first. Machine rolled all lines as it did in the Icemen game and the rest of the weekend so no one has to worry about kids not getting enough development time or the bench being shorted by another Machine team.
Apparently winning heals all - Machine coaches all walked out of the rink holding hands today!

Jabber I would agree with all of your post except that the Machine coaches disagreement yesterday that was so well documented I expected to see it on sport center. Fact is people love to rip on the machine for what ever reason they can find. The disagreement yesterday was over and done with there. The Machine coaches had no problems yesterday when they left the rink and obviously today all the coaches were on the same page. This team takes on the reflection of its coaches. They are determined and dedicated kids that bust their butts to become better hockey players as are the coaches studying different ways to challenge and develop these kids and find ways to win against the best teams in North America. Maybe all the haters need to take a step back and take the time to learn why these teams are constantly competing for championships, instead of ripping on them for things you simply do not understand. Then again I guess ignorance is bliss and to each their own but to rip on a team that is developing in to an exceptional group hockey players because you disagree with one man's business model or simply don't agree with the way they train ..... Come on! javascript:emoticon('') Congratulations 2000 Machine on another championship keep th freight train rollin!!javascript:emoticon(':D')
