If Ford plays well and EP wins it this year he would be up there. It would be 2 championships in 3 years and he already has a shutout in the finals and a win over Hill. He isn't the best regular season goalie, loses focus sometimes I think, but he can really turn it on.
EP two out of three.

I know Greg Stutz is not nearly the best goalie on this list, but it's hard to beat his three consecutive shutouts.

Agreed.

He had a great defensive core in front of him... RJ Anderson and co.

Not the best goalie, but he was solid.

best one i ever saw was alex kangas eventhough his team sucked he got absolutly shelled (i think a tournament record in one game against moorhead) but only let in a couple goals and kept his team in the game

What about Reggie Miracle - Columbia Heights. He was the talk of the tourney in 1983.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe those ten goalies won state championships. Kangas was good, but was ousted in the first round. His save record stayed in tact, but the next day Chris Sall of Duluth East made 22 stops in one period against Moorhead with VandeVelde, Gifford and Lee. Which is also still a record. Lindgren could break both those records against EP this weekend.

Just how did that Moorhead team lose exactly? It's ridiculous.

Reggie could be on the list for shutting out a powerful Edina team. Problem is B'Ville hung 5 on him in the Semi's and he gave up 4 more in losing the 3rd place game.

Reggie was most impressive in the section, getting his team to state. If I recall, they were a low seed and he single handedly carried the team on his back.

I student taught at Col Heights the previous fall and worked there as a sub that spring. Yes, it was a big upset that they were there. If I remember right, his most impressive game in the sections was against Cloquet

Kangas graduated in 05, if he would of been around in 07, if that is when Century placed third, they may of won it all.

Which Joe Phillipi are you talking about the one that let in 6 goals against Rochester Century or the one that played the year after? I would put Alex Kangas from Century above Phillipi by far.
