I think this is a completely different WBL team than it was in December. Im sure this could be said for both squads, but i think WBL is much improved.

East is a very good team, and probably the more talented team as a whole. Im hoping WBL rides their emotion of their biggest win ever as a team, and brings that energy into st paul next week

Both schools have solid fan support. I expect both teams to fill their student sections.

Plus they get to be out of school!

First meeting: 5-2 East in WBL. Shots 27-26 WBL.

Jeanetta is the key. If he plays well, East wins.

this Isnt a season like most other East seasons... IMO SoG mean nothing when looking at east.. In the past there wasnt many teams that outshot them, but this season they are much more patient , and dont shoot nearly as much, as they really try the pretty setup plays.. GR was the only team I saw all year that really defended well against it.. If east actually SHOT every chance the shots on that game would have been more likely 40-27

They also did in 1997, when they were undefeated with one tie headed into the tourney. Would have had the best record in 1998 had they not been forced to forfeit their first two games.

WBL game was 1000000000000000000X bigger then duluths those kids confidence is higher then anyone in state right now and again WBL should be the last team anyone wants to play after what they did to HILL

Lolol. Yea wbl had a big game. But I wouldn't go talking about who has more emotion and heart. You guys blew what? A 4 goal lead in one period ?? It was yours to lose. Which you nearly did.

East on the other hand made a 2 goal comeback in 2 minutes to win in overtime against how many haters that said rapids was gonna walk away with this??

Your argument about who's win is bigger is completely irrelevant

Have to agree. Although WBL's win against Hill was huge especially because of the history between them, but they did almost blow a 4-1 lead and have to win in OT, both big wins but I would think all of the teams should be riding pretty high right now that they all have won their section.

Hey can you tell me what grand rapids was ranked... and then tell me what hill murray was ranked? Yea no comparison even if they blew a 15 goal lead WBL still got the bigger win

Lol. Again. It's hs hockey. Ratings mean nothing. If you wanna play that game. East beat Eden Prarie this season 4-3. When they were still number one in the state. So I guess that was a bigger game.

Your logic has no point. Your thinking it's a big game because it's your school ....

So does the front page of the sports section of the star tribune... Im not knocking on east there a tremendous school and have a great hockey team but this was a remarkable upset and on of the biggest games in there schools history... You couldnt write a better script for what happened

Well WBL could have been down by 1 with 90 seconds left and then tied it up on a nice wrister from a kid who had not been playing very well, and then your star player could have won it in overtime... That would have been a better storyline... Sounds familiar...

Ha they were both wins, and I think the emotions cancel each other out, plus East has State experience so the kids shouldnt get too involved with the hype. Gonna be a great game.
Go Hounds.
