Re: aa seeds
Well then East beat EP too, so send EP to the 3 seed. it just seems unlikely.rudy wrote:Is this a factor?
Edina beats EP two out of three (including 3-0 at EP), and its loss to EP was by 1 goal without Everson.
Release the Hounds. Trek to the X.

Eden Prairie is 1-4 against Edina, Eagan and Duluth East.karl(east) wrote:Give Edina the #2 over East. They beat the Hounds head-to-head.
Otherwise, I agree.
When you just look at these specific three and their head to head match ups, it COULD look something like this:
1. Edina
2. Duluth East
3. Eagan
4. Eden Prairie
Blaine also beat East, beat WBL and tied Edina. Putting these 5 in an order when you look at their head to head match ups is very difficult, imo.
You are not. The one that was started first was started before a couple of the finals were complete, so it was speculation and was discussion of what might happen.east hockey wrote:Am I seeing double? Two topics devoted to the seedings right on top of each other? Which one was started first?
Lee
This one was started after all section tournaments had been complete and is discussion of the teams that actually made it.

North beat Eagan and were up on EP after 2. I say they get the #4 seed
Actually when you look at it this may be the most balanced state tourney in a while. It's not very often these teams have played each other and beat each other this much.

But it is the loses of the teams you have ranked 1,2,3. EP beat all of those teamsHShockeywatcher wrote:Eden Prairie is 1-4 against Edina, Eagan and Duluth East.karl(east) wrote:Give Edina the #2 over East. They beat the Hounds head-to-head.

can you elaborate or are you playin with weinieEHSHack wrote:Well East lost by 1 to Edina with the backup goalie in a home game for Edina, so there goes your logic.FREDFLINTSTONE wrote:East lost to Wayzata, Maple Grove, Apple Valley, Edina, and the win over EP was a home game for East--in OT. I think it would be a disappointment if Edina is not the top seed.goldy313 wrote:North beat Eagan and were up on EP after 2. I say they get the #4 seed

Beyond that, arguments could be made for 15 different orders and justified.
One of Blaine and Eagan won't get seeded.

All of what teams. They played Edina 3 times and lost two of them. They played Eagan once and lost. They played East once and lost. Hence 1-4 against those teams.FREDFLINTSTONE wrote:But it is the loses of the teams you have ranked 1,2,3. They did beat Moorhead and North, for what it's worth though.
When you look at EP's wins this season, with teams like Burnsville, Hill Murray, and Maple Grove not making it, imo, they don't stand up to at least two of the other teams they lost to.
They probably will. But should they? With who is not here and who is that beat them, do they deserve it? You know my opinion, what's yours?karl(east) wrote:Easy, Fred.

I stand corrected. Edina ended up 4th in the Lake.. not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4. 4th.......4th out of Tonka,Wayzata,EP.HShockeywatcher wrote:All of what teams. head to head criteria is what they like to look at and will play a big factor in the seeding decisons. If there is some kind of tie or 3 way, they will then look at common opponents.HShockeywatcher wrote:All of what teams. They played Edina 3 times and lost two of them. I think the head to head match-ups and results aren't as important as some are making them out to be. Most of these games we are comparing are coming early in the season in non conference (with exception of EP and Edina). Tell me things haven't changed since then... Now I feel like whatever team came out of 6AA would get the number one seed just because getting through that section means you are the best team in the state in my opinion.
EP
Edina
East
Eagan
East and eagan can be flip flopped i guess.

Edina also played its backup, and the game was on neutral ice.EHSHack wrote:Well East lost by 1 to Edina with the backup goalie in a home game for Edina, so there goes your logic.FREDFLINTSTONE wrote:East lost to Wayzata, Maple Grove, Apple Valley, Edina, and the win over EP was a home game for East--in OT.
