Section 3A Final: New Ulm(1) vs Litch/DC(3)
Series was even this year with both team winning at home. This is a rematch of last year. who wins?
I think if New Ulm comes to play like they should with the talent they have, they should win. Litch's Impola is the best D in the section but there is know reason he should be out there as long as he is. If Litch can limit New Ulms scoring chances it will be a close game. But if they let the eagles get clear shots it could be bad. Litch's goalie is not very strong as seen in the Hutch game. Also does Litch have a 3rd line cause I haven't seen them much all year?
I'll take New Ulm, but I have no clue what the score will be..

Why does everyone think that LDC's goaltending is so weak? I just checked out the stats on hockey hub and their 2 goalies have save %'s of .910 (Koivisto) and .900 (Sherman) compared to the other teams in the section they are 3rd and 4th behind New Ulm's and Hutchinson's. Looking deeper at the stats, I saw that in the 3rd game of the year Koivisto let in 2 goals and River Lakes didn't get any shots on goal in the whole game-obviously they forgot to type in the shots and this has lowered Koivisto's save percentage. Both of these goalies clearly can hold their own as they have helped their team beat both Hutchinson and New Ulm this year who supposedly have far superior goaltending. They also were a part of the only team so far this season to hold Tyler Heinonen to 0 points in a game and beat Delano. (new ulm lost 8-2, hutch lost 8-2 and 5-2).

Litch's goalies are weak. there technique, skating, and rebound control are poor. They have good numbers because they have a team that plays a great system in front of them. Lets take a look at the marshall litch game. The game ended tied 2-2... shots were about even at about 35 a piece. now are you going to tell me that marshall had alot of scoring chances in that game that forced the litch goalie to makes good saves. no. litch goalies dont have to make alot of tough saves and when they are forced to, they dont. case and point.
From a standpoint of anyone who knows anything about goaltending, litch's goalies are bantam level goalies. They can stop the shots that the defense keeps within a good range andcontrols the play.. but they wont make a big save for you. they wont control their rebounds... they just arent good. sorry.... tell koivisto to keep his stick in his five hole when he goes into what he thinks is a butterfly, instead of letting it flail around like a peewee.
