Who determines these players? Do coaches have any say?

Regarding the AA team,and it is a great group of girls. I don't think much effort was put into the selection. 10 of 12 girls from Edina and Tonka. It just seems they took the easy way out. I don't have all the stats, but I have to believe there were some other girls who did well, even if their team didn't. It seems similar to the selection process of the press's all state team.

The coaches assn was very involved in this a few years ago. I don't know if they are anymore. Someone with a little more recent knowledge can probably speak to this.
