Big goal for Rau and the Eagles. Always sad to see a team go down in the last 5 seconds, but, it's hockey!

Sad for the losing team. A goal within the final seconds is always thrilling.

was an even strength goal... but whatever... no doubt Rau is a good player, top players on both teams shined... I like to see it that way and have a hard time giving "top" players credit when they don't perform @ crunch time... Skrbich from Herm has proven he's a big-time player as has Rau. When I saw EP push the puck up to Rau with about 12 sec left coming out of their own end I thought, "here he goes"... it was a very good game however.

What I found surprising was that EP has 3000+ students and I'm not sure they know they have a hockey team because I don't think there were 20 (HS students) there...10 might be a stretch...and they couldn't all have been watching B-BALL in Hopkins! ...at least their team showed up...all home studying? or was it they weren't playing 'tonka, Edina, Wayzata...it was some Hermantown team, a team up north that plays in Class A with those teams from Da Range and all the Private Schools that recruit and don't bother stepping up to join BSM or Hill, etc. in AA.

The turn out at the game last night is fairly representative of the level of EP student attendance regardless of the opponent. While Edina, Tonka or Wayzata may bring in a few more kids, student support for this team is tepid at best. I'm sure there was a big turn out for boys hoops at Hopkins and heard the girls b'ball had a big crowd across the parking lot for their game last night. Basketball....I don't get it.

You think EP should move up because they eek out a win against a Class A team?? Granted Hermantown is good, but EP is 5 times the size and supposedly so great, my guess is the EP coaches are dissapointed in the margin of victory. I think this is another example of EP underachieving this year...they should be the undisputed #1 team in the state right now with their talent but havent showed that at all, I would say they they are #3 to #5.
C'mon HHF! Why the pot shot at Class A hockey? Behave yourself.

EP moves down if anything. Hermantown just lost to Bemidji 6-2 last week and Bemidji isn't in the top 10. If it really means that much to him give him the darn #1 ranking Karl so we don't have to hear it anymore. I would start to worry about getting out of sections instead of worrying about being number 1 if I were you.
Wins don't move you down. Especially wins over teams that were 17-1-1. Everyone has off nights, this wasn't one for either side. If you're so insecure with whatever your own team is that you feel the need to rip a winning team, you have bigger problems than EP.
Not ripping a winning team, ripping you for caring so much if EP is ranked #1 or #2. Who cares where they're ranked. I'm quite certain the kids only care if they are ranked #1 at about 10pm on March 12th!

The potshot was at EP for all the hype they get and the size of their program compared to Hermantown, not even a private, but yet they only manage to eek out a one goal victory...also I like to get Hockeymn1 riled up .....

It was a shot a Class A hockey, you're just not bright enough to realize it. Get over your jealousy of EP hockey, cut the B.S. about school enrollment and get back to worrying about your own bunch of underachievers.

Sorry, I don't particularly care for HHF. He's as poor a representative of Eagan as HockeyMN1 is of EP.

I am bright enough to realize that you are a Class A j**k...How have I been a poor representative of Eagan Hockey?? Because I cheer for them on here? So sorry I offended you...NOT! Jealous of EP?? Hardly...and my supposed bunch of underachievers cannot be considered that as nobody predicted them to be highly ranked, they have performed admirably against some top teams including EP in which they beat, for the second time in two years. You really need to chill out and just have some fun on here ... High School Hockey is supposed to fun...your WAY to serious about all this. Nuff said

HHF, So sorry I offended you....SINCERELY! My gripe is that you lay in the weeds until you detect an opportunity to take one of your baseless pot shots at EP - your idea of having FUN on here. You shill for your team to be recognized as elite, yet you insist they retain "underdog" status so you can ballyhoo the fact that "they have performed admirably against some top teams". Check out EP's schedule before you label them underachievers. It's a fair bit more ambitious that the one your guys play. Finally, if I'm a Class A j**k, does that make Fred Flintstone AA?

For the past two years EP has been hyped as this Super Power team by some supporters on here, spout off how a team like Eagan has no chance to beat them and give Eagan no respect because we are not one of the traditional powers in High School Hockey. So my response to that is to point out their shortcomings whenever they underachieve...tit for tat I guess. Show Eagan some respect on here and I will return respect, and actually I have, I stated several time in other posts that I thought EP should be ranked #1. As for FREDFLINSTONE, I dont recall him personally attacking me, my posts yes, but not by intelligience as you have sir, so at this time I guess he's not a Class AA j**k. Later
