MH should consider AA - A divisions.

Yes AA - A would be good.

Now you admit that everything you were saying in your last few posts is bunk.
You win the oxymoron post of the year with this post.........CONGRATS! Easy to tell where the moron part came from.
Now you have lost me. I feel there is level that is missing right now and one could call it A2 if you want. Moorhead did the right thing, now I think they want others to follow suit.

Just jabbing you on the Chisago Lakes deal. I have seen the PW team play and they have a couple of standout players, but no better than a bubble Edina A player. They could possibly make the A team, but so could a few kids on White and Green.

It is obvious that you are so wrapped around the axel about your situation that it is all about calling people idiots and morons if they see things differently. People will not follow your argument if it is all about name calling. Grow up and make it a real discussion, otherwise your points will be ignored by many.

If we keep widening the gap of competition strength, the more we'll weaken MN Hockey. If we have 10-20 AA teams, all players will want to play for these 10-15 teams to play the highest level of Hockey. Thats what your failing to think of here. It sounds like you have kids that play in one of these potential AA type programs. If you have a Mite or Squirt age kid you will probably see 4-5 of the top A team kids replaced by smaller association kid move-ins by High School. With 10-20 teams with a AA title there will be many more trying to play at this new level and instead of 4-5 being replaced it will be more like three quarters of the team............ Kids will be getting the bounce like in summer AAA. Better hope your kid is good because competition for his spot will be coming in masses. If you want to really create an elite few teams then get ready for the monster!

Dangler - If we end up with 50 teams in the AA b/c many associations want a shot at Edina/EP/etc... great! Let the local ass'n's decide what's best for their kids.

The point that's missed is that this will allow the bottom 50 "A" teams presently, to play and scrimmage against the best B1 teams.

What's wrong with this picture?

I don't see programs opting down to play A if AA is available........ They know they will have to compete at an AA level in high school. The very few (Cambridge B-1 youth/AA in HS) that currently opt down to B-1 now know they have to. Nothing will change.

If, and I say if, Minnesota Hockey only let a select few move up to a AA level, there would be mad rush of kids moving/waiving in to play this new elite level.
Epic Fail!

A would just become AA. Hope this helps........
