Stillwater

Stillwater does not appear to have any stars but they are on a roll....maybe they can make some noise and get over the hump in 4AA. Any thoughts?

A guess a couple of recent 1 goal wins over Park & East Ridge could be considered on a roll.

Stillwater has as good of chance to win the section as anybody. But the bottom line is they would need some help. If White Bear and/or Hill-Murray play up to their abilities, Stillwater's season ends. Both of those teams have more talent than Stillwater. And as it looks like right now, they will have beat both of them to win the section. Could it happen, sure. Will it happen...hope not!

Figures a Hill guy would forget the 7-1 win over Hastings. I agree it is nothing like the Pioneers streak or goal differential but.... for the Punies it is a start.

Said it before, will say it again. Good goaltending and strong defense wins in the SEC. The question is, can it beat Hill Murray? Roseville, White Bear and Stillwater may have that chance to see come Section 4 time.

I like Corbett, nice player for only being a junior, good size and a great shot! However a star in my view is a player that can take over a game, even a defenseman, he isn't to that level yet.

These likely will be the 4 teams playing in the 4AA semis, and all 3 WBL, Stillwater, and Roseville have decent goaltending and defense. But Hill Murray plays great defense, and that leads to low shot totals and easy saves for Tim Shaughnessy.

I'm hoping WBL can make it to state, but having seen all 4 of these teams play. None of them can match Hill's overall depth and speed.

I agree, if any SEC team beats Hill it would have to be a low scoring affair, with some ugly goals, and having a goalie standing on his head any other body parts making saves. No SEC team can win a shootout type game against the Pioneers.

Shaughnessy is a pretty good goal tender, but how much does he really get tested. We lost to the horses on Saturday night and their goalie is just the kind of kid that could win a game like that. Shaughnessy has nothing on that kid. We out shot them like crazy in the 3rd but nothing got by him.
