Bemidji will win by a score of 5-1. 8AA will finally have a representative other than Roseau or Moorhead!

Bemidji 5
Brainerd 3

Looks like discipline, penalties and coaching may have cost Brainerd tonight. It’s tough to win shorthanded.

Anyone have a final for New Prague at Holy Angels? I was told it was 3-2 Stars after two.

Stars 4, Trojans 3.

The refs did their best to make sure the streak wouldn't end tonight.

Hopkins 7
St. Louis Park 4

SLP gave Hopkins alot more of a game than they expected. Wasn't sealed till late empty netter put it away for the Royals. Dalton with two goals for the Royals, Brodersen with two for SLP.

It was actually a good hard fought game. Holding penalty on BRD was very weak, not a good call. Jacks scored PP game winner. Check from behind(jack player turned on hit) on BRD was no worse than the check from behind on Jacks that they called a cross check.
Jacks way more depth, wore BRD down in 2nd and 3rd. BRD needs to find a way to give a few minutes or even seconds to the 3rd line.

forgot to add horrible arena for HS game.

Easy to blame the refs when things don't go your way, but fact is a team can't control reffing, but a team can control how they react to it. Both teams had opportunities to score during power plays. That said, it sounded like the Bemidji boy was down on the ice for quite sometime and was helped into the locker room. Hope the injury is mild. Always hate to hear of a kid going down. Heard from both home and visitors it was a fair call. (also, from what I have seen, I'd say refs in Bemidji are more often than not brutal to the home team. I've never seen "homer" refs there!)

About that arena.....sucks to WATCH the game there, but you can't blame the outcome of the game on the arena. The boys love the ice. It's hard and fast. ....the jacks have no home arena this year playing at three different rinks. Too bad you weren't one of the teams who got to play at the rink over by the high school that they are trying to make their home....or better yet the Beavers new rink. Then you could have watched in comfort!

As a fan of good hockey, not BRD, I was not blaming anything on the refs or arena. I think if you asked that ref today he would say that it was not the best call he ever made.(holding call) The check from behind was a good call. There was just no difference between that hit and the one that bemidji made in the 1st period. Hope the kid is alright, any updates?

I just wish I knew I had to dress to go ice fishing and not to a hockey game.

That's a big suprise  Brainerd is a cheap team and their reputation is catching up with them. Witnessed it against Rapids.
It's one thing to play with a chip on your shoulder, but constantly attempting to injure with blindside and after-whistle hits is ridiculous.
Program has no class!

Point well taken Next One.... I didn't see the hits, just heard about the one and that it was a fair call...

Looked at the Bemidji paper online and thought you might get a kick out of this:

"The game, played at frozen Nymore Arena" .... and in a preview of todays game: "If the ski meet was scheduled for Nymore Arena, it would probably be postponed as well because of the frigid temperatures, but the boys and girls hockey teams will brave the conditions"

 Next time you can dress for ice fishing -- just leave your pole and auger at home; they might frown on you cutting a hole in the ice
