Not at all, but I would call it an upset, at least a minor one!hockeyheaven wrote:Would it be tacky to gloat?

Chaska/Chanhassen is a hard working team. I will not be surprized with any win that they may post.BeenAround wrote:An upset?? Really?MNHockeyFan wrote:Although not in our contest there was another big upset involving a ranked team last night. Unranked Chaska/Chanhassen knocked off #7AA Eden Prairie 3-2. The victors also won the SOG battle by a 31-23 margin, so just like Mounds View they must have just played a really good game. Just goes to show once again that upsets are almost always possible!
Chaska/Chanhassen does have a couple of impressive wins, including Breck, Mound-Westonka and now Eden Prairie. But earlier in the year they were inconsistent, losing to unranked Farmington and North Wright County and also to a pretty average Alexandria team. Since then, however, they've been on a roll, having won their last 7 games. So maybe their hard work (and maybe some good coaching?) is beginning to pay off.hockeyheaven wrote:I agree. I watch CC play at the Duluth Scrimmage fest. Good, hard working team. I would not classify this win as an upset let alone a huge upset. You should know by now the rankings are just a little flawed. Furthermore, not as great a gap this year between the haves and have nots.
Congratulations to Coon Rapids on their big 5-3 come from behind win over Roseville last night. That makes two losses in a row for Roseville, a team that up until that point had gone undefeated at 9-0.MNHockeyFan wrote:As of 11:15 this evening still no score being reported for the Coon Rapids/Roseville game.
In tonight's other matchup, Crookson beat East Grand Forks 4-1. Six of eleven contestants got this one right and pick up a point, but nobody got the score.

If they do get ranked next week we will certainly include their game against Blake on January 8th in our Week 8 contest here.
