Irondale moved to d10 this season, maybe call their association president and see how they made it happen.

Why would you want to do that? travel? competion level? poor leadership?

Combination, We now play,Hudson, River Falls, Somerset, Whats next ? Thats not the only thing. District 2 seems like they are a pain in the neck compared to others. Maybe adding a district w/ F.l.Chisago,WBL,Cenn, Blaine North branch, St.Frances, Rosville? I don't know?

In the past, all it has taken is agreement between the two District Directors.

Sounds too simple. Might be the best thing for F.L. Move back to D10 where we started out.

I know some people in the Johnson/Como association and they opted to District 8 and not go to district 2. They decided this knowing that they probably would lose alot of games but the leadership in district 8 (Rich Rakness) is at least strict and fair and you know what you got. In talking to them and my experience district 2 thinks of themselves as the Edina-Eden Prairie arrogance and better than thou attitude of the northern suburb. Be careful district 2 you might just lose a few more teams. District 10 for Forest Lake best fit.

D2 is brutal -- the worst combo of arrogance and lack of common sense, huge need for some new leadership there

Will MNHockey allow changes so soon after the last round of re-districting? A fair amount of movement for this year. Will they require a status quo for a year or two? I was surprised to see FL not in D10 this winter.

Adding teams to D2 is more likely than adding teams to D10.

D2 has 9 members and D10 has 19.

Basically most teams are not knocking down the door to go to district 2.
Reason: Maybe because this district is only happy when they can send White Bear ,Stillwater or Roseville to represent them, anyone else chopped liver.
Maybe Phil Housley should be district president. Congrats to district 2 for being a leader in promoting Wisconsin hockey also.

FWIW ...

When Hudson, River Falls and Onalaska were guest associations in District 8, they were not allowed to participate in district playoffs where a Minnesota regional birth was on the line. I.e., they did not participate in A and B(1) playoffs but were allowed to participate in B2 and C playoffs.

MH board will look at changes after 3 years as it currently is...

any requested changes should be presented sometime around Dec 2011 - April 2012 to cognizant district director.
