As we know, anything can happen in hockey games with occasional surprising results.

Just for fun, let's test the myhockeyrankings.com model. The model's theory is that the difference in rating between the teams is the predicted difference in the final score. Disclaimer: As we know from our mutual funds, past performance does not guarantee future results.

Statistically, the myhockeyrankings.com model offers the following predictions:

First Round

Highland (-4) over Brainerd
Bloomington (-2.5) over EGF

Bemidji (-.5) over Edina White
Centennial Red (-6) over Rochester

Second Round

Highland (-.5) over Bloomington
Centennial Red (-3.5) over Bemidji

Championship

Centennial Red (-5) over Highland

Based on the games I've seen this year, I'd put Bloomington over Highand and Edina White over Bemidji. Note that both games are predicted to be the closest games by the model.

I knew Wayzata was good but for them to win a tournament they didn't enter would be truly impressive.
