1. No Brainerd mentioned?
2. It's good to see Maple Grove getting some love. I predict a Maple Grove/Osseo 5AA final. One of them will finally get over the hump.
3. I completely forgot about the talent Lakeville South has coming back. Good call on that.
4. Any thoughts on Blaine's unforgivable 6-4 win over Willmar? Willmar is going to be a bottom-feeder in 6A this year. They already lost to Benson this year. Ouchtown, population you, bro!
Maple Grove could be over hyped this year. MG is good, but not going to be great. Can't get by Blaine. tied 2-2

Brainerd- lost 3-1 to Tech. That's why they aren't mentioned.

If you watched the Maple Grove game, they outshot Blaine 40-12. They hit at least 5 posts and may have had 7 break aways. Blaine's goalie was unbelievable.

What was the score? 2-2, hey that's what I thought. As soon as they start counting out shooting a team the winning let me know. :D :D :D

40-12 is a pretty ridiculous shot margin between two Top 20 teams.

They did have a lot of shots, but many were not quality shots. A lot were just thrown at the net, or scrums in front. Maple Grove was definitely the deeper team and was able to dominate most of the play, but IMO Blaine had the better quality chances as far as rushes up the ice. Credit to the Blaine goalie with many big saves that kept them from what could have been a loss.
