The CAA (Catholic Athletic Assoc) plays many of their games outside at North Dale. The league is made up of teams representing catholic middle schools and usually starts up around mid January. Normally the ice is in great shape although it needs to be shoveled quite often.hockeyfan74 wrote:I know St. Paul has two for sure. One at Phalen Rec. Center and one at North Dale Rec. Center.

The St. Paul East mites have had an outdoor tournament - oops - Jamboree - because younger kids shouldn't learn to compete. Anyways they have an outdoor Jamboree every year and have for many years. My two older boys have both played in it multiple years - some of the most fun they have had in hockey. I agree we need more outdoor hockey in general - tournaments would be great!
