Mea Culpa, Sorry I was thinking they ran a Bantam tourney at the same time.

Nonetheless I will go out on a wire and pick the same teams for Peewees.

You're technically high school eligible in 7th grade.

Couldn't disagree with your picks...but looking at some of the scores over the last few weeks and knowing these are all good teams anyone could come out of these pools....Kids Hockey :)

St.Michael to win it. Must get by Edina first.

Unlike OG85, I will not stroke crw's ego - STMA will be the force of D5, but they don't beat Edina:

Edina beats OMG
Lakeville South beats Chaska (coming off an upset of Wayzata)

Tough field.
Should come down to Wayzata and Edina, with the Trojans hoisting the trophy.

Don't know what all the teams look like physically, but if they are all skilled and have quality goal tending, run with the one that has the size and plays the most physical.

I've got Edina, EP, Minnetonka and Wayzata with wayzata winning it all against edina. I would like to see a team like Chaska in the final Inigo. but have you seen their scores? sounds like theyre really struggling.

Wayzata
Elk River over Tonka? I doubt it.

Interesting to see the outcome of tonight's Edina @ Elk River game.

Minnetonka just had 2 big wins over Rosemount and Edina..

Should be alot of great games over the weekend..

I had Edina as a clear number one in state, followed by (in any order) Wayzata, Rose & Tonka. But with Tonka having downed Rose & Edina...are they not the latest team to beat?

Lakeville South
Wayzata
MKTA
STMA

Anyone hear how Roseau looks this year?

OMG losing to Spring Lake Park...standard ups and downs for them. East division looks tough.

STMA... the power to surprise a lot of teams early. Should be interesting to see how they do as the season wears on.

Lakeville...always a hardworking squad, can never count them out.

If EP/Wayzata/Tonka/Edina advance it will be a little Pee Wee Lake Conference preview...

Thanks for the link Snowmass. Here are my thoughts. The number next to the team is the ranking from MYHOCKEYRANKINGS.

NORTH
Rochester RED (not Black) - NR
MPLS Storm - 30
Lkville Sth - 20
EP - 8

Rochester Red beat EP the other day 4-3 so that game would prove to be the only test for EP. Home tourney in home rink I give the nod to EP to win North.

SOUTH
Eagan - 40
ChanChaska - 32
Wayzata - 5
Roseau - NR

Wayzata gets a raw deal in that they will not have any real tests in their pool. Roseau is a wildcard since they have only played one game which was a one goal win over Grafton. Wayzata wins pool easily.

WEST
Edina - 6
STMA - 10
Stillwater - 28
LkvilleNrth - 25

Pool winner should come down to first game for the pool on Friday which is the STMA/Edina game. I will go with Edina since they are defending state champs but it should be a close game.

EAST
Minnetonka - 9
Osseo/MG - 14
Elk River - NR but is a top 10 team
WBLake - 22

Should be most competitive pool in tournament. Tonka is very solid. Omg can be a threat. ER has played some top team and all have been close games. WBL will have to find some extra energy to compete in this pool. Flip a coin between Tonka/Omg/ER - probably Tonka, likely ER and strong chance Omg. I will go with T.O.E. or this pool.

Semifinals
The number one seed will be Wayzata due to weaker pool and big goal differential.

Number two seed will be Edina with big differential wins over Stillwater and LakevilleNth.

Number three seed will be EP.

Number four seed will be T.O.E. - tight games so pool winner will not have much for positive goal differential

Wayzata battles T.O.E into OT with Wayzata winning
EP plays Edina tough but cannot find the net in the 3rd and lose a close game.

Wayzata vs Edina: Wayzata wins.

Love the breakdown. Hard to argue with. But I guess I'm picking OMG to come out of East. Upset special.

Nothing wrong at all with your picks , however they don't seed the teams after pool play..It East 1 vs West 1 and North 1 vs South 1 so your semi-final match-ups are incorrect I believe.
