Someone needs to be willing to buy advertising for games that had such poor ratings as last year. Otherwise FSN will continue to pick-up programs off affiliates for much less than the production costs of high school games.

They are back on fsn... foxsportsnorth.com that is. They will be doing four games every night they broadcast.

"Smarten up"?

Ratings were an issue. Advertising wasn't easily sold. There are TONS of games on the internet now. Some are webcast on the My Fox Hockey site and others are radio-only via other formats. You can see many games if you'd like. Not quite the same as a pretty-big-budget production from Fox Sports, but a lot more than anyone can argue about.
Be kind. Rewind.

I hated going to games FSN televised. The time outs drove me nuts and made the game last too long. Professional and college leagues long ago sold their souls to the TV networks, but at least they got millions of dollars for it. High schools get nothing from FSN, but they had to bend over backwards just like the pro leagues. Drop the puck, play the game, quit standing around waiting for someone to sell used cars.

Yes, the timeouts and long breaks were very annoying. But, it is sad that the "State of Hockey" can't broadcast a handful of games every year.

what FSN needs to do is make the games on tuesday or wednesday or friday instead of thursday. Because a bunch of high school hockey players would watch the games. they just can't when they are on thursdays or saturdays because they are playing their own game at the same time the games are on air.
