AAA hockey in south metro

Post by StillAnEagle »

What are the AAA programs in the south metro? I know of one - the Pond, but would like to know what other programs are out there that have open tryouts.

itr26ers.com skate out of shakopee

http://www.minnesotamagicians.com skates out of Dakotah in Prior Lake

unitedaaa.com has tryout ice in the south metro, but not a lot of dedicated time at the D6 rinks from what i saw.

neehs.com northern edge skates out of richfield and st thomas occasionally

i am sure there are more i am not aware of.

i googled all of these in under 1:30 (an eternity for an eight year old goon).

my guy did too and we had a great time.

the sixers program was the least organized summer group we had ever skated with, but the team gelled through the summer and the coaches really did well with the kids.

my skater's skating stride improved and i could tell he had better patience with the puck in the offensive zone. it was rewarding for him.

the work showed during the association tryouts which was icing on the cake.

we got what we paid for.

now that i think about it, they did have some ice there too.

i have heard good things about the edge program and focusing on basic technique and positioning.

i saw an easton AAA (probably thru unitedAAA.com) team having tryouts last weekend at BIG as well. 99-02 years i think. typical stuff.

i am no expert here- i just call it like i see it.

Grab a Let's Play Hockey. I am not sure if it was the most recent issue, but I recall seeing a bunch of ads for programs holding tryouts.
