Mr. Bo: You seem in a bad spot with your association. Haven't read your past posts enough to know what association you are in? I did see you post alot about the FIRE, are you a part of that? The FIRE seems to fit the FLA model you want. And when you get disgruntled with the FIRE, you can sign up with the Capitals, etc.
Can I assume you did not play the game?

I know of a lot of KIDS that are in in bad spots. Do you have A level Hockey where you live? I know 4 current and former players for the Fire program and not one of them would be having the success they are without the Fire option.BadgerBob82 wrote:Mr. Bo: You seem in a bad spot with your association. Can I assume you were a cheerleader?
I just heard about a kid that is an all day B1 player in a large ,rather political association. He just made the C team!!MrBoDangles wrote:I know of a lot of KIDS that are in in bad spots. There are a lot of kids in bad spots for many reasons . Having a choice of some kind would make a big difference to them.
And I'll tell you what Badger B , You can assume that I played!!!
Re: Minnesota Tier 1 Hockey
I have also thought about a scenario similar to this, to create a tier I level.Quasar wrote: I would like to start the conversation with my idea of how this could work. If you take district 2,3,6 and 10 you have covered the Area where most of the players reside. If each district fielded one Tier 1 team we would have 4 teams added to The Wisconsin Fire. This would be a start.
My take on it would be that each district would put out a Tier I team. Players would only be able to try out for there own district team. This way districts have to develop there own players instead of picking up the left overs from the other districts.
The season would consist of games against the other Minnesota Tier I teams, probably a few out of state teams as well. Each district would determine the number and details of tournaments on there own.
Current A, B, ETC.. teams would remain intact, with the exception of the few kids moving from A to Tier 1.
The season would be from September to March or Early April.
Tier I would not exist at the Mite/squirt level only PW, Bantam. High school would be questionable. I think at that Level MN hockey would approve a Tier I program that ran from End of March to a couple weeks prior to the start of the High School Season.
I don't believe that any of the Tier 1 programs should be for profit.
