Miracle GOLD Announcements...

Post by HB Miracle GOLD »

The Minnesota Miracle Gold Program has added a feature to our website that allows you to communicate directly with the programs staff. We've created a link that gives Player Prospects a way to be seen on paper - for starters. You can also make notes of upcoming skates, scrimmages, games or tournaments. This new link is now active.

The age appropriate coach (Birth Year) will be notified immediately on their smart mobile devices and email. Go to www.miraclegold.org for complete program details. This may come in handy in the next ten days or so as we are finalizing lists of prospects for a pre-skate with Miracle Gold coaches and 2011 committed players. Speaking of coaches...

Head Coaching commitments as of 9/15 -

2002 - Brad Zinda - Lead Instructor - Miracle Mite Academy
2001 - J.J. Begley & Cory Onell (Co-Coaches)
2000 - Still TBD, will be posted when finalized
1999 - Joe Droel & Co. - USA Hockey Level 5 Certificate
1998 - Rob Loftus - Program Director - MN Miracle Gold AAA

A biography on each coach will be added the the website in the near future.

So there it is, we've put ourselves out there. The program has been completely revamped from more of a developmental program to a truely competitive AAA experience. We have the coaches, we have the facilities, we have the program partners, we have a true support staff and dollar for dollar and pound for pound at $1295.00 nobody will come close to our pricing. Ask you current program why they are charging $500 or more for less than what Miracle Gold offers.

Didnt that 99' coach get kicked out of tartan and mm as a coach? How is he getting another chance to coach. I must admit this is only something I heard at the rink tonight so if I'm wrong I apologize. Just sounded like it was a bit crazy to start a new program with a coach with that rep.

It's not the program people take exception with. You have some great folks over there. You're right, no one can touch the price. We all know what people are griping about. On paper you guys should be able to attract top notch kids, but there's been enough negative things that have happened over the past few years that the word gets out there. I wish you luck, but the same mistake keeps happening. Parents aren't always price driven. It does help, especially in this economy, but you build on reputation. It's true with football, baseball, basketball and hockey. But if enough negative things are out there, parents balk. Seriously, good luck. But if the programs stumbles, maybe look around internally for the problem.

$1295 is just to be on the team I take it. That # is not much less than others -- I think the Blades run $1400 or so, Icemen are similar. I won't say I know the cost of all the teams out there & I am sure you're right that some run at $1800 or more.

You're still less expensive to be on the team than maybe anyone else, but the dollar for dollar claim feels overstated.

I'm done -- forever. I've said my piece. I didn't mean to go too far overboard. They do have some good folks over there. They don't deserve to be bashed on account of a weak link. Good luck.
