Highland Park?
First time fielding a team since the 80's. Will they be able to grow a decent program?
HP
It is cool to see them give it a try. It will be a really tough battle getting numbers in the program. There is a lot of competition for the youth players out of Highland Central, and many of them end up at private schools. They are having a tough time filling 25 games and may not this first year.
With the numbers shrinking very fast at Como HS and somewhat at Johnson, it is the old topic of St. Paul Hockey maybe going down to 1 team like Mpls very soon.
Let's hope Highland can pull it off, but it will really be a huge challenge unless they can start to pull more out of Highland Central. Best of luck to the Scots.

If you attended any of the jv teams in the past two seasons you will see exactly how much this program will struggle. They have no talent pool at that school, if they want to have any chance of building a successful program they will need to pull much more kids from the highland central, because right now the highland central bantam A team is better than the Highland high school team.
