I would say you are right on the biggest difference is that these teams are what I would concider invite teams with the remaining teams as open level. The 98 Machine and Blades will be pretty even and it will be interesting to see how the 99 Machine does against the Blades this year after skating together as the Fire all winter however would still give the edge to the Blades with some of the added talent that has joined for this year and that they did out play the Machine last year. As for the 2000 it tough to say there new coach at the Blades has made alot of changes. Both programs are very strong!

Is there any significance to the fact that Blades/Icemen list names on rosters and Machine appears to not? Not sure that I'd be ok with full name listed with the team's schedule for security purposes.

Do you have the same security concerns when you see your kids name listed in the tournament program or up on Pointstreak? what is the security concern that you have?

The same reason we posted our winter tournaments on a private page. You are telling the world that the odds are very good that your house will be sitting empty that weekend. So, unless you have a state of the art security system or a hungry, large dog, you probably don't want people to know that. Even worse would be if you had a 16 year old daughter to leave home alone that weekend. We never, ever get to travel as a family anymore, too many commitments, so there is always an adult at home at our house, but I think that's why more and more people are going to first names only if they are putting the schedule up.

The oldest and his buddies had to take a pre-ACT test in school and it listed potential future careers, one of his was 'taxi driver' which was causing quite a bit of teasing amonst everyone (mainly because his goal is law school--he loves to be right-obviously he gets that from Mr. D  ). Anyway, one kid says, totally serious, with a straight face: "LittleD, it's okay. Bernie started out as a taxi driver."
