Woke up a sleeping Giant  , get real when is Breck's school going to man up and play AA Hockey. I guess it just feels better to win 2nd class hardware than not win any at all

Hahahaha....put me down on the Hermantown fan list for tomorrow's game.

I like Breck. For second place.

I wish that they would televise/radioise consolation games.

But, a great big THANK YOU to channel 45 for televising games and broadcasting them for FREE on the internet. Allows Mr. Teak to watch. Early Malaysian morning.

I always brag to non-hockey people about how hockey interviews should be shown to athletes in a "this is how you act" class. The first TV interview my son had I was afraid he was going to come off as cocky, but he nailed it. Take the post game interview with the Breck kid and put it in the circular file. They don't have the class I was speaking of there.

GoldyFishyDude, you can't imagine. I teach 19-24 year olds all day long. They are probably too young, but I do know quite a few older, divorced or never-marrieds. But, since they are Muslim, you will have had to have been chopped. Savvy??

Noting your comment about the Ch. 45 interviewer, she would be a 2-3 on the 1-10 scale here.

Morin Interview?

Post by Get Some »

Anywhere I can watch this online?

Breck has always had the "rich and privileged means we don't have to be classy and polite" motto. They have a great thing going right now: Essentially if you attend Breck for 4 years in High school and play a fall, winter, and spring sport, you will win a state championship.

Too easy!

Post by saucepass »

The Warroad coach is still making up excuses for losing! That's two easy wins in a row....

Warroad has no class!! They trash talked all game, whined every faceoff to the refs, took runs all game long, took a cheap shot on the goalie at the end of the game, coach making excuses for losing.....go play in a Canadian league you bush league hacks!!

mj79 8)

Brock had a few good plays....Breck TEAM made #3, #9 look like ok players...How about Fulton or Morin for Mr. Hockey??? Oh well, I'd rather just play/win a championship, than be a team with one cry baby individual (#3)...Brock you will never win a chapionship with your Sioux team either!

I hope you don't represent the "classy" Breck fans with your post, then. Oh wait, you probably get your definition of classy from Morin I believe, or whoever gave the post game interview.

And taking a cheap shot on our goalie. Please, thats playing hard to the end of the game. Breck did play better as a team today and thats why they won.
Yeah Brock had a few good plays and looked like an OK player except he showed how much better he is than anyone on the Breck team or anyone in either tournament in my opinion. Fulton or Morin could not have scored the first goal the Nelson did. Brock's second goal was an absolute snipe on one of the best goalies in the state. Don't sit there and say that someone from Breck should win Mr. Hockey over Nelson because he is much more skilled than either of them.
And how is Warroad a bunch of "bush league hacks." Because they are physical? Hockey is a contact sport and northern teams have a reputation of beating up on teams, especially city teams. Thats something to be proud of, not to be ashamed of. Plus, every team talks trash during a game. Its not like Breck is all high and mighty. You could see them jawing too or do you just ignore that.

P.S., maybe Brock won't win a championship with the Sioux, but I doubt that Fulton or Morin will win a NCAA championship either. Besides, even if Brock doesn't he'll at least have an opportunity to win a Stanley cup when he plays in the NHL, meanwhile Fulton and Morin's careers are over and they have to resort to coaching some youth hockey team.

He just looked above average. I didn't see him take control of the game like those other guys did.

Down two goals and after the horn blew, then clubbing the goalie, is bush league!

I'm all for playing physical, but Warroad looked silly trying to take runs and missing!

I do think Hermantown has more depth than Warroad and will beat Breck in a close game. Breck may be on too much of a high from beating an overrated midget team.

PS-I didn't see the post game interview. I would have been smirking the whole interview! Don't forget what the Warroad coach said about last years game.

I think some of the northern boys get a little extra credit. I got Nelson, maybe, top 20 in the metro.

Saucepan, you're crazy. Nelson is def one of the top players in the state, if not THE top player. You honestly think there are 19 other players in the metro better than him?

Well Observer actually wrote that comment, but yes, I'm not sure you could think that he is may only be a top 20 metro player. He had himself a great tournament. He played much better than Nick Bjugstad I think, granted I was only able to watch one Blaine game. 6 points the first game, 2 points yesterday, 3 today. 11 total points in the tournament. He ended the season scoring at least a point in every game this season. He finished with 96 points which is only 3 less than T.J. Oshie had his senior year and Nelson did that on a team that is not nearly as talented. He is definitely one of the top three players in the state. Its hard to argue that.

First of all, taking control like the Breck kids? Which one, I didn't one time throughout the game go wow that one breck kid controls the play every time he is on the ice. I couldnt really put one of those top line Breck players above one of the others, they are all above average, not studs. On the other hand, every time Nelson touches the puck there is an excitement in the air waiting to see what he will do with the puck. As for clubbing the goalie? I dont know what you were watching but I believe Brecks Dman hit Nelson from behind and he simply skated away...sounds pretty classy to me on his part, but i guess you city/private folk see the game through different eyes...

This is one of the biggest reasons we removed them from our schedule. We usually played them late in the season and ended up with a couple key players injuryed going into the playoffs. But that was when Eide was coaching them and haven't played them since.
