HockeyDad41, are you the father of a kid born in 2000? Is this your oldest or only child? Did you play hockey?
I'd love to read NIINTEAM's answer to HOTG's post. It's a good point worth discussing. Pay a lot of money to play top notch AAA hockey, and you have the choice (no pun intended) to play for a well respected coach (2000 blades), or a parent coach (2000 Machine), with no real coaching or playing background. I guess in the end, what experience does Bernie McBain have? I can answer that one, NONE!High Off The Glass wrote:Please elaberate. Excellent in what way? Explain how a parent coach, with very limited playing experience (if any, and I'm being kind), is going to develop your son. To be honest, a trained monkey can take the best 8-9 year old kids in the metro area coach and win hockey games, but years down the road, will these kids develop under a coach with no real coaching or playing experience. You must ask yourself, with the money your spending in that program, do you deserve better than parent coaching? Don't you already get that from association hockey? I'm not trying to turn this into another Blade vs. Machine thread, but it's a question worth askingnoIinteam wrote:machine coach is excellent.
team has extremeley low turnover - kids love the coach - all top players wanted to come back - add in a solid addition from the blades + 2-3 good hockey players from north metro -- 2010 should be decent
would be great if blades would commit to 3 or 4 game series over the summer? hear blades are all about FUN so why not?
Greatone99, Dude you need to fire up some happy pills. As per usual here you are again ripping someone or something you know nothing about. You've ripped everyone from Eden Prarie to STMA and now the Machine their coaches and the product, yet again never having anything to back your comments up with. Give us all some insight as to why your evaluation of anything holds water. What is your qualification to outrageous judgements. Certainly you must have coached or played at a minimum D1 or nhl hockey the way you talk.GreatOne99 wrote:I'd love to read NIINTEAM's answer to HOTG's post. It's a good point worth discussing. No backfires, just really good hockey!!!takeitwide wrote:It's funny rumor has it that the Machine coach was talking to the Blades with his 97,00. There is no comparison between coaches Blades have a coach with a proven track record and serious player development skills. Although he will have his work cut out with the 2000. As for the 3 or 4 game series didnt Machine try that with the 99 Blades and it back fired on them?noIinteam wrote:machine coach is excellent.

What is so outrageous about my comments. Look at the two head coaches, and compare qualifications. Simple, no brainer!offside14 wrote:Greatone99, Dude you need to fire up some happy pills. Many of these players are A squirts already. Some will be in peewees as 5th graders. They compete at a higher level in the winter and the summer. A little sensative Mr. Bo Dangles. I know these are 9& 10 year olds. Which is my point. This thread is absolutely ridiculous. Talk about living vicariously through your kids.... Watch this Don Lucia speech and maybe it will help put things into perspective.MrBoDangles wrote:Many of these players are A squirts already. Some will be in peewees as 5th graders. Thank you, I have now seen the light. Kids this age should never be challenged by other talented players. The best players in the world always played only in-house rec hockey. Michigan has always been light years behind us because they play rec hockey only, not like MN that has been heavy into AAA forever. Hockey family kids never turn into good hockey players, they are exposed to way too much hockey. Parents that try to give their kids all the tools (sports, best education, good parenting, life lessons) to be successful in life are wasting their time.... It always backfires. I feel terrible forcing my kids to play since they hate hockey. Thanks again, I'm now a former hockey dad.KICKED-IN-THE-PRIVATES wrote:A little sensative Mr. Bo Dangles. Wow - what happened with STE for you to put them that high?MrBoDangles wrote:Among the best if not the best. I know it sounds crazy right now....HockeyDad41 wrote:Thanks. My guess would be
Machine
STE
Blades
Miracle
Icemen
Like I said... Just a guess
Being from Forest Lake.. Why would you have your son practice with a team from the Richfield/Bloomington area? The NSC is 15 minutes away and is the largest hockey complex in the world. They also house many rapidly rising AAA programs. Just curious.......old goalie85 wrote:Here we go!!!!! I have to say Reebok Nationals. Our 3rd year with them.
