Moving the North Bantam A Region Out of Proctor????

Post by Duluth East Hockey Fan »

Can anyone confirm????

I have heard that the North Region may be moved to Cloquet because they are having ice problems in Proctor, has anyone heard this?

I HEARD, so I don't know for sure (cause I haven't been to Proctor to look for myself) but I heard that there are puddles where the ice was melting all over the rink up there does anyone know anymore?

Apparently you did not play on it, so not sure what you were seeing or who you were talking to. The ice was hard and fast and all problems that were reported earlier in the week were either taken care of or over exagerated. The ice before the East/GR game looked like a mirror. Great job to the Proctor people for putting on a great tournament.

The ice and the venue was just fine. It got a little slow as the day went on Friday and Saturday but by no means affected the play. If there was one thing I saw that maybe should have been a little different was, the ice took awhile to set up, and so maybe they should have been a little less worried about staying on time and rushing teams out after resurfaces, but that was only on Fri. and Sat. Sunday the ice was great all day.

Yes, I agree. As the day went by, the ice did seem to take a long time to set, but I heard that they lost 1 of their 3 compressors on Friday afternoon. Overall though, I think they did a good job. They do a good job with what they have.

I watched almost every game that weekend and the ice looked bad. Rutted up and lots of water throughout most of the games, so i dont know what kind of ice your used to watching or playing on. I would agree that the people from Proctor did an excellent job with what they had to work with.
