blaine is in championship, and egf. I heard that Moorhead got screwed over. From what I hear they lost 5-6 to andover which should of put them in the championship, but then the directer changed one of the rules... so the official rule book was wrong

My gut tells me we are missing a few facts here. Can anyone shed some additional light on this?

So what you are saying is somebody said the tie breaker rules were "this" and everybody took him at his word instead of checking the rule book. Doesn't seem controversial, just typical.

That first tie breaker is interesting isn't it???? It states" take points acquired in games between the tied teams, and only the tied teams. Does "points" mean goals or points as in two for a win.....??
It would have to mean points as in 2 points for a win...then they would still be tied. (Let's remember that the rules say "points acquired" not goals). The next step is goal differential in the games between tied teams, both Moorhead and East Grand Forks had +1. The third step is to divide total goals scored by total goals against in games played between the three tied teams. Moohead: 1.11 East Grand Forks 1.16. I don't know if I got this right, but it seems to be the only way this happened...
I'd be interested to know what "points" means....
There would've been a similar situation in the other pool if Fergus would've beaten Roseau. Elk River, Roseau, and Fergus would've been 2-1. All three would've won one game against another team that they are tied with giving them all 2 points in games played against eachother. Fergus Falls would've won out over Elk River because ER's goal differential would've been -1 and Fergus' would've been at leasts even.
One of the important things to remember is the game against Blaine, or the game against Brainerd in the other scenerio wouldn't count.

The four day school week in Warroad must not be working if you can't read Bemidji right under his name.

Just and FYI MSBN has partnered with Minnesota Hockey once again this year to bring you coverage of 2 boys youth hockey state tourneys and 2 girls youth hockey state tourneys.

As an added bonus it is our goal to see about making video an option at the Richfield site this year for the Bantam A Tourney. So check out the schedule next week as we first have to make it through out MSHSL State Boys tourney coverage this week!

Looking forward to bringing you coverage again this year for the Minnesota Hockey State Youth Tourneys!!!

Its a great month for hockey on The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network!

Well ladies from the cities. Turns out sssmack was right. Duluth east was over rated from what I hear. Northern boys were spreading the rumor that east is not going to state. Is this true?!

I think Bemidji could take a few pointers from Warroad when it comes to hockey. So I wouldn't start in to hard.
