SLP 4 3 Centennial OT
Very exciting game. SLP not overly impressive but played hard and consistant. Took advantage of rebounds and never trailed. Centennial was up and down. SLP hit the cross bar with less than 30 sec in reg. on a great tip. Won on a shot that was deflected about 3 times. Centennial goalie had a great game. Cent D suspect - losing track of players in the defensive zone and a poor job initiating breakouts.

EP 1

Wayzata to state as M1!!!!!

Was a fantastic game, 1-1 game with 8 minutes to go....Hats off to the Trojans and the Eagles, fantastic hockey to watch!!! Ep pulled their goalie with 35 seconds, and the Trojans got an empty netter to make it 3-1....

BPG, great summary of a great game.

EP scored on a powerplay in early in the 3rd, then Wayzata scored shortly after. Aggressive and fast game

Worst game i have ever been a part of, i will elaborate on the game when i have more time later tonight....game was called off with 4 mins left..

First off, whenever the ref missed the slightest calls against edina, the fans would boo and the coach would just scream at the refs. they also started to get really really chippy and take runs at kids by the time they were down 4-0 in the second. A little into the third a huge scrum went on at mid ice, and an edina kid got kicked off so they started clapping/screaming and he nodded at the crowd sarcasticly so the elk river parents started flippin him off and yelling at him (parents i remind you). During the actual scrum one of the parents yelled "f***ing kill him". the point where they called the game was when the actual coach of elk river called one of our kids a chink, after another scrum between the refs and both teams the tournement director called the game.

Well, the Tonka Vs. Burnsville game was a excellent playoff hockey game.
Burnsville won 4-2(en).

There was some controversy over an apparent Tonka goal which appeared to hit the twine. Ref didn't signal and play went on and Burnsville scored 20 seconds later.

If that had been the Edina vs. ER game World War III would have erupted.

elk river is one of the most classless teams ever...

The ER vs. Edina game was an embarrassment to hockey.

I was sitting with the mother of the captain of the burnsville team (yes, blueblood is a nice guy

) and we both just shook our heads in disbelief!

If what nipes says is true, the coach from er should have his coaching card removed immediately.

Congrats to Wayzata, Edina and Burnsville today. The remaining seeds will be decided tomorrow:

SLP vs. ER (guess who everyone will be pulling for

That's why earlier in the tournement I expressed my
frustrations w elk river they are cheap players with annoying and immature fans hopefully they get killed tomorow

cant decide the 2nd game, tonka is a really great team, lakeville has loads of talent and they word really hard. both teams have chips on their shoulders from their last games.

Pretty sure thats mr. Slayer great guy met him a couple days ago when we talked about the league and thats a crazy game i was pondering whether to stay or not wish i did, thats pretty weird they called the game early seems like it really must of been pretty bad hockey

Did not make the Blaine/WBL game,had to work,kinda sad it was my kids last hockey game today,but my daughter taped it for me,all i can say is good luck WBL,you guys hung in there(short bench and all) and it paided off,you guys wanted it more than our boys did. Congrats guys!

What a jerk, Sit is a great kid. Goes to show why Elk River is a dump and brutal at hockey. I hope the coach is fined for using a racial slur. I don't think the parents understand when you come in to a developed and civilized area you just don't do stuff like that. Yikes.

And boys we will beat ER for you no problem, we've got your backs.
Come out to the game and support us. I wish I could be out there but I'm in a cast, otherwise their coach would be in a cast haha.

couldnt get any better than this, Lakeville vs Tonka head to head record 1-1-1 with a birth to state on the line. Should be a great clean game unlike some (elk river) cant wait go SLP and WBL Ep should be a clasic too!!!!! JGA at its best do or die

It should of also reported how CHEAP and the LACK of CLASS the parents and coaches are in their sport of hockey. Hope they get their butts kicked today.

Blueblood - Great game last night. What an intense playoff game. Good luck against Lakeville today.

Attention Elk River parents and coaches:

You should never wonder why your kids act the way they do on the ice. Look in the mirror. It is an embarassment to Metro Hockey League to have you in this league. The coach should have his card pulled and never see the bench again. Not only did he use racial slurs, he told the head of refs to "blow me" after the game. Unreal.

On a lighter note, congrats to all teams that made it to state. And good luck!

Well I'm going to make this known right now I am a player from Elk River, in the Edina game it was very poorly officialed both ways. The reason why the game was called is because a player on our team asked the chief of officials how much edina payed the refs. Our coach did not call an Edina player a chink. The way the game ended was pretty bad, but all these accusations going around calling our coach and team classless? The game was out of control from the drop of the puck in the third period, and the chippiness went both ways. I know for a fact that an Edina parent started yelling at an Elk River parent for moving in front of his camera, and the fans got rowdy. Also you forgot the fact that the Edina player flicked our fans off. Todays game vs SLP got us firewd up, we played with class today. I don't understand how we get accused of being classless when a player from SLP spit on one of our players and than started to maul our goalie, throwing multiple punches. I don't give a damn what you have to say about this, we know we can play and compete with all of you. See you at the state tourney. -poweraid

Obviously our team can play with any team, hence why we are playing at the state tourny. I guess we will see in two weeks just who we can play with. We have some big wins and if we have been so cheap how did we get as many fairplay points as we had?
