Re: HM - WBL
As big a WBL fan as I am and I love them and I hate Hill there's a small double standard which I dont like. Obviously Hills a private school and going to get metro kids and when they do everyone whines about it, but when people transfer to WB nobody seems to care. Maybe because it doesnt happen as often I really dont know. Wolter left MV with his own brother still on the that team, Collette also transfered if I remember right. I'm sure theres others as well.Goldfishdude wrote:and Colorado......stpaul wrote:You mean the "home grown kids" plus one from Mounds View.

HM -WBL
Fun facts:
Hill-Murray and White Bear Lake have not met in the section final as often as it seems. HM is 8-3 in 11 meetings. The Bears 3 wins came in a bunch - in 1994, 1995 and 1998. HM was also 3-0 in section finals vs. White Bear Mariner back in 1975, 1976 & 1980.
They are 8-3 vs. WBL in section semi-final games plus 1-0 vs. Mariner. Altogether - HM is 20-6 vs the WBL schools in section play. 9 of those 26 games went to OT. HM is 6-3 in those OT games.
That does add up to a lot of season ending pain for our Bear friends to the north.
I'm looking forward to a great game tomorrow night. Either way there have been many memorable games over the past 35 years. The kids definitely always play their hearts out.
Hopefully Bill Lechner will be in his lucky Charlie Brown sweater and Tim Sager in one of his bad sweater vests. Whatta ya expect from a couple of Cretin guys.

Moved for Hockey. Granted today they wouldn't have had to move. And I can see why playing with Bonin seemed better then being the best player on NSP.wbmd wrote:Except the entire Reigstad family moved to White Bear Lake.stpaul wrote:Wasn't Jared Reigstad from North St. Paul. In all seriousness, it's amazing the overall success the Pioneers have had against 90% of the schools, but look how they have been miserable vs Bloomington!!!!Sparlimb wrote:Nice to have a site that takes such good care of its fans.Goldfishdude wrote:stpaulie, or PPG.... what is the overall record again??? Yet I believe they have more wins over Jefferson in the State tournament than any other team. Regular season, not so much.Goldfishdude wrote:In all seriousness, it's amazing the overall success the Pioneers have had against 90% of the schools, but look how they have been miserable vs Bloomington!!!!Sparlimb wrote:Nice to have a site that takes such good care of its fans.Goldfishdude wrote:stpaulie, or PPG.... what is the overall record again??? For your information, it was 1975, 1977 and 1980 that Mariner lost to Hill in the finals. 1976 was in the semifinals.stpaul wrote:Fun facts:
