EP finally has a State championship and now they're talkin 3-peat? Gutsy. I am picking them over Tonka this week, but if I remember right, I think they have to win a few more after that too? right?.
I am still amazed they can put together such a good team with only 4000 kids at the school to pick from.

It's like 3100 which is essentially the same as Wayzata and schools of the like. Plus its not really about the size of the high school as much as the size of the youth program, that is where you pick the players from. It explains Edina's long lasting success.DuluthHockeyBoy wrote:EP finally has a State championship and now they're talkin 3-peat? Gutsy. Or perhaps they didnt like getting beat by Eagan in hockey so THEY bolted...HockeyMN1 wrote:The rest of the Lake minus EP. Dang Happy, I am jealousHappyHockeyFan wrote:wow...you know you are special when you get your own thread on here, I guess if nothing else I have kept you all amused this season. Actually I was away most of the weekend for an out of town tournament my son played in. I did come back into town to catch the dissapointing loss of my beloved Cats to Applevalley. Credit to AV the came in a played extremley well, kept us from getting good shots and took away our biggest strenght, the power play, by not taking hardly any penalties. The boys fought hard down the stretch and came back to tie, but after several overtime wins this year we finally lost one. We werent the only team to be upset as Woodbury followed by taking down Cretin. You know, there was a full moon out yesterday..hmm?? I hope Woodbury makes it to state out of 3AA. As for my boys, I am proud of them, they had a hell of a year, 21 wins is nothing to sneeze at. We will miss the seniors next year but we will not go away as our talented sophs make another run, in fact I think our best years are ahead of us. And like them, I wont go away either. You'll have to deal with me again next year. As for EP, well...nice job, didnt think they could take Wayzata! And...I dont think they can take tonka either. But if they do , I will call them the team to beat in the state tourney. Its been real and its been fun boys and girls, but it hasnt been real fun!! Later

Hey, we have a big tourney coming up don't we? Playdowns this friday.
I'm afraid you are turning into EP's equivalent of HHF. Please back off - you're going to ruin all the fun!HockeyMN1 wrote:Let me rephrase this for you...One of the greatest dynasties minnesota high school hockey will ever see continues the march towards a three-peat at 6pm at Target CenterHappyHockeyFan wrote:#3 seed EP plays their last game of the season at 6pm at Target center...mulefarm wrote:What time does the No. 1 seed(EP) play on Thurs.

Same to you. Sounds like the State Tourney is a lot of fun in that league for the boys.HappyHockeyFan wrote:Actually I am more jealous of you, your boys are still playing...PoniesDad45 wrote:Dang Happy, I am jealousHappyHockeyFan wrote:wow...you know you are special when you get your own thread on here, I guess if nothing else I have kept you all amused this season. You might want to think twice about your thoughts towards all these lake conference teams not making it to state. The more that can make it the better! Looks better for the conference I think and also makes your season look more impressive then it already was, could maybe put some of the bashers to rest for ya.HappyHockeyFan wrote:Hey, the thread is named after me, doesnt that mean I can talk about what I want?? Actually if (when) EP wins the bashers will only have a bigger reason to take him down.hockeyjunkie2 wrote:You might want to think twice about your thoughts towards all these lake conference teams not making it to state.
