Lee you should lock this one up and delete it. Nothing productive can come out of it. HHF is a fun guy to have around and loves Eagan to a fault at times. He certainly does not deserve the stuff he is getting here.

northwoods oldtimer- this is obviously all in good fun and HHF is taking it well and making light of the situation. This thread really doesnt need to be locked. You dont have to read it if you dont want to

oldtimer..... he has been fantastic about this all-season, as he has seen my first video before, and we have all shown concerns (in jest) before about him, and he has played along nicely.

HHF knows he is as important as one can be on this forum, and he "gets it".

It was his constant support of Eagan all season which opened up many of our eyes, and helped make believers of his program this year, and aided in Karl's recognition of moving the team up in his rankings throughout the year.

He is as passionate about his team as anyone can get, as to why we are able to offer some humor to him. He knows these posts aren't personal attacks.

I, for one, wish I had the faith in my program as he does for his. I am nothing but a Benedict Goldfishdude towards my WBL team. In fact, I found myself rooting along with HHF for his Wildcats, because of him.

HappyHockeyFan wrote:wow...you know you are special when you get your own thread on here, I guess if nothing else I have kept you all amused this season. Actually I was away most of the weekend for an out of town tournament my son played in. I did come back into town to catch the dissapointing loss of my beloved Cats to Applevalley. Credit to AV the came in a played extremley well, kept us from getting good shots and took away our biggest strenght, the power play, by not taking hardly any penalties. The boys fought hard down the stretch and came back to tie, but after several overtime wins this year we finally lost one. We werent the only team to be upset as Woodbury followed by taking down Cretin. You know, there was a full moon out yesterday..hmm?? I hope Woodbury makes it to state out of 3AA. As for my boys, I am proud of them, they had a hell of a year, 21 wins is nothing to sneeze at. We will miss the seniors next year but we will not go away as our talented sophs make another run, in fact I think our best years are ahead of us. And like them, I wont go away either. You'll have to deal with me again next year. As for EP, well...nice job, didnt think they could take Wayzata! And...I dont think they can take tonka either. But if they do , I will call them the team to beat in the state tourney. Its been real and its been fun boys and girls, but it hasnt been real fun!! Later
Wow! It would really mean a lot to EP to have your endorsement!

I kind of thought it was pretty good humor too but the decapitation link was a bit much in my opinion. Maybe I am wrong, been wrong before.

=D> That sums up my sentiments completely. So long as we're willing to laugh at ourselves and eat our crow, we should never have to apologize for our exuberance.

Forgive me for going all sentimental, but isn't that what this sport is all about?

Sorry...I will be AT the tourney so my couch isnt available, however if your EP boys are looking for a place to watch after they lose to tonka I am sure some of the Eagan boys would be nice enough to have them over watch with them.

Can Rau come? O wait, he's gonna be playing. Maybe Gardiner will stop by though.

They will save a special seat for Rau, right in the front and will supply him with lots of kleenex to wipe the tears away.. :-({|=

Food and beverage to watch the HS tourney at HHF's house: $800

Let me rephrase this for you...One of the greatest dynasties minnesota high school hockey will ever see continues the march towards a three-peat at 6pm at Target Center

I predict EP wont even win their conference next year, Lakeville South, AppleValley and Eagan are all coming back with some firepower next year !!

None of those teams are in the Lake next year buddy. Also EP will have essentially the same team next year as they do now. They will be in the power conference with Edina, Tonka, Wayzata, and Hopkins but even if they fall at some point in conference and don't come out on top of that, the 15 some seniors that will play next year won't lose come tournament time.

Whoa!! One game at a time here. Minnetonka has proven they are the best team this year and Wednesday night will be a battle, no need to start thinking about next year or even next week at this point!
