Wow, what a stacked roster for both ends, I'm picking the Range to sweep the series this year. Looks really good for them. Hopefully they will televise it like they have in the past. Always a good way to finish off the season with all of these top players playing each other for top honors.

Northern Minnesota, Now that's real Hockey!

I dont how the iron range team is picked i am assuming the coaches pick but the iron range team could be a lot better and its a shame to the players who obviouly deserve to be on the team
Players who should be on the team that arent
Marcus Bugliosi Hibbing- The 4th leading forward scorer on the iron range 13 31 44
Dan Chesser Virginia- The 5th leading forward scorer on the iron range 19 22 41
Both these players are seniors and are both more deserving than half of the team. Its hard to see juniors on the team over these two ecspecially when they have more points. Chris Little International Falls has 7 12 19 and is on the team to me thats a joke. The kid has less than half the points

Agreed. Seniors should be looked at before underclassmen. This event has become a popularity contest, not a reward for season play, but to those that are seniors that weren't chosen, bigger and better things will come up in your futures.backcheck97 wrote:I dont how the iron range team is picked i am assuming the coaches pick but the iron range team could be a lot better and its a shame to the players who obviouly deserve to be on the team

Please tell me why a senior should be picked over an underclassmen? Just because they are a senior doesn't cut it.. It is an all star event and the best players should be picked regardless of age. Stats can be misleading when evaluating talent and just because a kid has better year stats wise doesn't mean the kid is a better hockey player. I am sorry but stats and being a senior are not worthy evaluation tools when selecting an all star team!!

I follow northern hockey pretty closely and I had never heard of this Chris Little, or whatever his name is. Bugliosi and Chesser are better hockey players bottom line. This little kid shouldn't have even been considered. Adam Mendoza and Nick Adams are both more deserving than Little. Like I said, I've never heard of the kid and he only has 19 pts. Stats aren't that misleading. A kid with 40 who played well over the entire season should get in over a kid with 19 whom only Falls people have heard of.moose27 wrote:Please tell me why a senior should be picked over an underclassmen? well i think in hibbings situation you have a senior in bugliosi and a junior in decenzo who both in my opinion should be on the team but if you had to choose one who do you choose. they picked decenzo but bugliosi had more points and is a senior. i think the best players should represent teams like this but if there is two players equal than you go to the senior the junior will have the whole next year for this
Agreed. I have never heard of chris little in my life. Bugliosi should definitely be on the roster.gophers101 wrote:I follow northern hockey pretty closely and I had never heard of this Chris Little, or whatever his name is. The only reason you have heard of Bugliosi is because you live in hibbing and cheer for them! Any person that follows the broncos can tell you that litte deserves this spot. Just because he didnt get as many points as bugliosi doesnt mean he doesnt deserve it. Little works ten times harder and plays great defense. He is better overall player. And the coaches pick the players so i guess they saw something in him and i agree fully with itnickmon3 wrote:Agreed. I have never heard of chris little in my life. Wow, get over it already. The team is made. You should worry about supporting the Range Team instead of worring about who didn't make the team. This whole forum is about Range Players, its embarassing, the Duluth team could have some fair complaints too but they aren't. Its done. Good Luck Team Iron Range, Hopefully, We'll see you finally sweep the series.
