The rangers were better 20 games ago, and they've progressed a lot. GR has not made as many improvements as Forest Lake has this season.

You've seen Rapids play a lot this year? Otherwise, you really can't make that statement.
Oh you're right, everyone who hasn't seen Forest Lake or Grand Rapids play more than twice, stop voicing your opinions!

I can make any statement I want, watch:

Sleepy Eye will have a historic march through 3A, and oust Hutch in the final 9-0!

I've seen Forest Lake play a lot this year and they are a good team. They have won some big ones but they have lost to some poor teams. If Grand Rapids can stop Fick they will win. The kid controls the ice when he is out there but when he is not they seem a little weak. I'll take Flake regardless. Not only in this game but the two after that.

Grand Rapids is playing better at the end of the season, they have the recent state trips that these kids have watched, and a long tradition of winning.

FL is at home with a decent trip.

My heart says Rapids, my brain says FLake.

I am going with the Indians, er, Thunderhawks.

I hate to say it but I gotta go with Da T'chicks in this one #-o

It would be a dirty shame to see a metro team represent section 7AA

Don't know where and when Forest Lake came from but they had no problem shutting Rapids down tonight good luck to the Rangers in the semi-finals.

Ever since that last state tourney run, sections have not been kind to Rapids. Ugly loss to Anoka 2 years ago, upset by 6-seed Cloquet in the quarters last year, and now this.

2/6 @ Stillwater 5-0 W
2/15 @ Cloquet 8-0 W

Out of nowhere? They're now unbeaten in 7.

To be fair, expectations were not high for this season, with only 5 seniors it seemed to be a re-building year. But the sophs took the Bantam A team to regions last year and there was undoubtably a lot of talent on that team. They have made a fabulous transition to High School Hockey. Amazing what can happen when the Bantam coach and the HS coach actually work together. 8)

BTW, The bandwagon here is plenty large enough for everyone, we'll need lots of good wishes at the DECC. Glad it's a short drive north

Well, y'all are already north of the Metro, so shouldn't take more than an hour the way most people drive from down there. :)

Usually takes me 3.5 hours, even though I am only 15 min south of FLake..... I have a tendency to "road trip", and make several emergency stops along the way!!!

Congrats FLake, but the final score is not a shock to me the way they have been playing.
