This is the year, Eagles break the curse.
If not, next year's team should be better than this year's.

WHOOOAAA! Lourdes over NU - 8-2 Lourdes over Marshall 5-2 Maybe Marshall is the better team??? Probably not - goalie saved the Tigers in those games. If Marshall can put the puck away, they could be the tough team heading into the section.

Redwood ties Waconia and loses to Morris...Marshall beat Waconia and Morris. I have a feeling they just fell apart in the Redwood games. They have to be a better team than Redwood. Did Redwood get a little too confident lately? Or finally challenged?

Hutch 4 Northfield 2; Hutch 4-3 OT Marshall

Hutch will be challenged against Holy Angels next week, but good practice heading into sections.

WHAT NOW????? This could be anyone's section now. Looks like Hutch has the momentum heading in...

NU will not be a better team next year, no one on the Bantams to help them. Hutch will go to state this year, better goalie, NU is falling apart.

I dont think you can draw too many conclusions from the Lourdes games. Lourdes played St Thomas the night before and was probably out for blood. lourdes is playing much better now.

Waconia tied Redwood. And probably deserved to win against Marshall. Waconia outshot marshall 32 to 19. A Waconia goal was called back. And Marshalls last goal was on an open net.Waconias frosh goalie didnt have his best day.
Against Redwood he played strong. The Redwood goalie did as well.

How can you say marshall needs to get more shots to be a contender for the section when they brought both hutch and new ulm to ot with 20 shots and getting 6 goals with 19 shots against waconia?

When do the seedings come out? I think there are 5 teams that could win ( RW LITCH HUTCH NU MARSHALL ). I know many people are saying this is the weakest section in the state, but when you have 5 teams that could win, that makes 3A exciting. No real run away winner at this point. Who will step up. Should be some good games in a few weeks.

Personally I think Marshall is coming into playoffs with the best momentum. Like I said they're only as good as their goalie is and as of late he's playing very well.

On another subject whoever wins on Monday between Litch and NU will get the 2 seed. Whoever losses will get the 4 seed.

Any thoughts on that game?

It is very exciting, 5 real good teams and a few surprises. Windom up and down luverne coming on strong at the end. I wish who ever gets the trip to the X the best and represents the District well. I believe seeding is like end of next week.

nu will take it.first line is solid and burgau is a brick wall.he is closer to swenson than alot of people give him credit for, swenson does have the state expierence but they have the same skill set. im not saying nu will get the top seed but they will be the toughest team to beat in sections. go eagles

Does this mean that redwood secures the number one spot since they beat Marshall? Since Marshall beat New Ulm, New Ulm tied Litchfield, Hutchinson and Marshall went to overtime resulting in Marshall losing 4-3, and Redwood obviously can beat Marshall. So therefore the mighty Redwood can beat all four teams at any given moment.

Hey great hockey minds of Southern Minnesota...Litchfield and New Ulm had one heck of a dog fight tonight! A tie for NU should get at worst a 2 seed! All you Redwood believers can have your #1 seed if you really really deep down think you deserve it. You should take great pride in beating some real bad teams this year. Did you play a caliber team like Duluth Marshall...Rochester Lourdes...Minnehaha Academy...oh no wait you played Morris/Benson Area and Lost...Windom..lost...tied Waconia. Please wake up!!! Your "B" schedule will show in the end! I watched all the teams in the section this season and this is how the seatings should go:
1. New Ulm
2. Hutchinson
3. Litchfield
4. Redwood Valley
5. Marshall
6. Windom
7. Luverne
8. Fairmont
9. Worthington
10. Sleepy Eye

I believe giving Redwood valley "B" team a 4 seed is a generious seed considering a SALLY schedule that they play. I"ve heard that the reason they can't get a game with New Ulm is because they don't have a JV. Well, move your PeeWees up and play the Eagles if you think you're so good! Then there won't be any questions!
Best of luck to all the teams...especially Redwood Valley...you're gonna need it no matter what seed you get!

Yeah The New Ulm Bantam "A" team is not good. But, what does that say about Mankato? How did Redwood Valley Bantam A team do this year...oh wait they never skate a "A" team...pre-modonnas!!!

Redwood can't carry NU, Litch, Hutch's puck bags! The best player they ever had : Jordan Polusky...and he was the smart one..he got the heck out of Redwood Falls...way to go Jordan! I'm surprised Hansen didn't go too! OVER RATED!!!! Go everyone accept Redwood Valley! Pre-Madonnas makes me sick!

Redwood doesnt think they are great.
I think they are but im just a fan. Not a COACH as yourself. Minehaha Acadamy is a powerhouse team? maybe you could explain that on to me. Some teams you mentioned for Redwood are all in the Conference and a must play. Just like NewUlm must play Waseka, Fairmont and St Peter The South Central has 4 teams the SouthWest has 8 so New Ulm would be able to schedule twice as many games outside the conference. And they Schedule Austin and Dodge County. Do you think R lourdes are getting dumped on for playing New Ulm and Marshal. It works both ways.
The Kids dont pick the schedule the AD sets them up and go play thats it. Redwood has been the underdog for ever. Now they have won some games and are having fun> None of the team members even read these posts. They Dont care just want to play Hockey. But being a glorified COACH like yourself you should understand that.
