Ms Hockey Poll
Who do you think will win the award this year? Names are listed in LPH Release Alpha Order. (I corrected Buie from Defense to Forward and added St Cloud State as school for Julia Gilbert based on Duluth paper). Good luck to all!

Most of the time these polls turn out to be a popularity contest,
they do not dictate who will win the award just who has the biggest fan base.
they are all good players and are deserving along with a few others I am sure.
Good luck girls!
I have seen all these girls play. I like Brausen from Roseville. She has played against very good competion and stands out. You can't always go by points when choosing. Some players have much softer schedules, therefore they will accmulate more points.hockeya1a wrote:Oilers08 wrote:Tend to agree with T-Bird. Some also have better PR programs than others. You don't neccessarily see her in every news clipping like others. With her style of play and unselfishness she will help lead the Gophers to a National Title.
Good luck to all the girls.
This is the dumbest statement I have ever seen on this board. Granted I don't post here as much as I used to but back in the day more posters on this forum saw more of the top 10 finalists (players and goalies) than any of the idiots did that vote on the actual award.Thunderbird77 wrote:Cease and desist. Polls naming individual players should be taken off the forum. These awards are not popularity contests. Voting on a forum is. Happy to have discussion about the positive merits of players nominated. Its an honor to be chosen. This type of polling takes away from the honor.
This poll probably would be more accurate than the actual vote.

Interesting that the poll here, based on the number of votes, correctly predicted 4 of the top 5 finalists.ghshockeyfan wrote:Top 5:
