Aaron Davis- Mound-Westonka STUD!?

Post by sregit34 »

Who is aaron Davis? obviously mound goalie... His stats are fantastic, especially for being on a team that frankly isnt that good. Is he just a stud or what?

Gotta love 1st posts like this.

I was able to watch him play twice early in the season, and he looked pretty darn good to me. Stopped 45 of 45 against Virginia, then stopped 44 of 46 the next day against Hibbing. Thats a 98% saves percentage against a couple of pretty good opponents.

8-5-2, 1.92 GAA, .943 SV%, 2 SO

He is the only reason Mound is a top-20 team. Without him they're probably somewhere around 4-13.

Top 20 teams don't tie to Waconia and go to OT with Litchfield. But I agree that the team would be doing a lot worse without him.

Sounds like a guy who can go out there and steal a tie on any given night. His stats are very good, and it sounds like he's stuffing top 10 teams, but his offense and defense aren't giving him any support.

Ordinarily, I would agree. But I think he just gave up one goal to Waconia, so I would pin that problem on his support.

Is this a situation where a kid could transfer without any grief from the public? I mean it's not like he'd be leaving an average team to go to a great private school, as far as I can tell he'd be leaving a non factor team.

The Waconia tie was 0-0 that I saw reported.

I'm blaming his support, not him; just saying I don't believe he alone makes them a top 20 team. A top 20 team would score on Waconia.

Aaron Davis-Stud?

Post by bghockey »

Davis was not in the nets vs. Waconia. The goalie that day was Ben Myers. The White Hawks have yet to score a goal in the games that Myers has been in nets.

I have alot of respect for talented goalies who stay on bad teams, I can only imagine the frustration.

Heard from a very reliable source that D-1 schools are after him big time now. What were his stats like before this year? Did he just come out of nowhere :?:
