Eveleth-Gilbert tournament
Heard from a source that Spring Lake Park beat Park Rapids 8-3 in the championship game of the tournament. That makes them the only team besides Minnetonka that is still undefeated, as the Panthers are 12-0. The teams 0 in the loss column will be challenged by Benilde, Totino Grace, and even St Francis this month. [/url]

Re: Eveleth-Gilbert tournament
from my knowledge nobody plays in that tournament. park rapids? again seems like the coach of slp is making an easy schedule this year. i saw this coming too, ive been a fan of park since before benson coached, and when he did and his kid came to play i knew some crap like this would happen. His kid is a senior captain now( a very talented player may i add) and when its his senior year they play a bunch of fluff teams. congrats on slp winning a joke tournament. get back up to trf and play some real teams. again we'll see jan 9th if your team is truly a competitor for section 4aRBKhockey77 wrote:Heard from a source that Spring Lake Park beat Park Rapids 8-3 in the championship game of the tournament. Yeah yeah yeah. People were slagging Spring Lake Park last season, and I suppose they will continue to do so this season. Congrats to SLP on going 12-0 so far; they have two outstanding sophomores (Fossen, Auman) who will take this team far before they graduate. I am tired of seeing Hill-Murray, Edina, STA and etc. dominating every year. Nice to see some up-and-coming, different, programs for once.mnhockeyfan77 wrote:from my knowledge nobody plays in that tournament. park rapids? again seems like the coach of slp is making an easy schedule this year. i saw this coming too, ive been a fan of park since before benson coached, and when he did and his kid came to play i knew some crap like this would happen. Teak wrote:I totally agree. I've watched them play and do have talent, but they're schedule has been awfully weak. That's why I'm not considering them a top 10 team yet. They are doin alot better than I thought they would. Auman is a very talented defenseman who I see playing either D1 or ushl. Fossen needs to work on somethings but will get there. Jan 9th will be a fun game to watch.mnhockeyfan77 wrote:from my knowledge nobody plays in that tournament. park rapids? again seems like the coach of slp is making an easy schedule this year. i saw this coming too, ive been a fan of park since before benson coached, and when he did and his kid came to play i knew some crap like this would happen. The Panther's great start is only going to be memorable if they can play well the second half of the season. They play Benilde, Totino Grace, and St. Francis this month. 3 out of the 4 toughest teams on their schedule, Benilde being the toughest by far. The Panthers have the skill and the depth to give Benilde a good game, but the game will be determined by how fast they come out of the gates, and how well their goalie plays. Mike Nelson has the ability to get hot and be an x-factor, and if he can do that I can see the Benilde game being a very fun game to watch.

Week tournement?? Yes. But it was likely a great experience for their team to go to Eveleth.mnhockeyfan77 wrote:from my knowledge nobody plays in that tournament. park rapids? again seems like the coach of slp is making an easy schedule this year. i saw this coming too, ive been a fan of park since before benson coached, and when he did and his kid came to play i knew some crap like this would happen.
