Warroads a joke toss them into a different section and see how they do they have top 2 worst section in the state not to mention there dads are reffing the games. This is not a joke ive witnessed this first hand. The warroad hockey organization should be forced to fold on account of there games are already won by the refs.

This is a great idea!! I witnessed it first hand this weekend as well. Playing there is a joke because its rigged!

Grand Rapids 5 @ Warroad 4

Yep, it's rigged.

They sure like to schedule those AA teams when it doesn't matter though don't they? They won't schedule half their section opponents yet they'll gladly play them come playoff time. Cowards.

They learn more from a 5-4 loss to a AA team than a 12-0 win over a Bagley team. They have nothing to gain from playing those teams in the regular season. They schedule everyone in the section that could possibly beat them already.

Believe me, I understand totally why they don't schedule the lower end of 8A.

SECTION 8AA:
Becker-Big Lake, Bemidji, Brainerd, Buffalo, Monticello, Moorhead, Northern Lakes, River Lakes, Roseau, St. Cloud Tech.

8 of these teams are less talented than Warroad most years. Trade in the tampons for some male genitals.
Believe me, if it were possible to schedule top notch opponents they would. You have to realize that it costs a lot of money for schools to travel. If teams like Roseau and Warroad could afford to make a 4 plus hour trip every weekend they would. But then the basketball, football, volleyball...etc would be asking (even more than they do now) "why does the hockey team get all this money". See my point? Moorhead is 3 hours from Warroad and that is the closest "quality" opponent other than Roseau, you can even throw Bemidji in there and that is 2 hrs away. Maybe if Schwang donated some of her tampons they could play some more top notch opponents
As hard as it is for me to say, I really think that Warroad does just fine scheduling their opponents. All of the strong programs in northwestern Minnesota offer good competition. Some years some teams are better than others, big whoop. What Warroad is doing with their scheduling seams to be working. Everything else they do seams to be working too  .

Local refs in Warroad and everywhere else do non-section games at home to save on the expense unless they request differently. Section games are always done by out of town refs although linesman can be local. There are limited crews nowadays and it's getting harder to get young refs started and keep them but until they run out....refs from outside the local community will be brought in to do section games in Warroad and everywhere else. That's why in section 8a on a given night the Warroad crew might be doing a game in EGF with the EGF crew in TRF and TRF crew in Warroad. There is also crossover of classes with Roseau crew doing Warroad game while Warroad crew does Roseau game, etc. Even in cases where Warroad or Roseau could use a local crew to do a Warroad/Roseau game (due to a & aa making it nonsection) they always bring in an outside crew if at all possible.

All Warroad would need to do is make 1 or 2 adjustments to their schedule. They play a pretty good schedule. I highly doubt the long list of big schools would all say no to a game in Warroad once a year. You could get a few to make the trip with 2 or 3 phone calls. The only thing Schwang needs to donate is a couple thousand sets of private parts to the city of Warroad - which is far more costly than playing AA.
