top squirt B Team in the state
just looking to see who some of the top teams and players in the state for the squirt bs.....Ive seen a number of the northern teams..Proctor has and excellent team. A number of high end players and great goaltending.
I'm impressed
Damn, alot of views and no one took the bait. Ive look through this site a couple of times, and i just cant believe some of the insane things i see in here. The game has become check book hockey. The good old days of kids playing the game for the love of it is gone. Dont get me wrong, there is some excellent hockey being played. I played, coached and now im reffing, so i think i have a little bit of insight. There was a time when the outdoor hockey rinks were covered with kids just playing the game, up here in the Duluth Area. What used to be just a game has turned into parents thinking they need to prepare their kids for the NHL. Please parents get a grip and let them have fun.!!!! Let the kids play, coaches coach and Parents keep your Mouths Shut! I can here it as im skating up and down the ice, just because I love hockey. And want to do my part .

No i dont hate coaches, just worded wrong. Basically its Parents let the coaches coach. And yes many parents, not all of course are totally clueless.

OK, so you hate parents. Who doesn't hate hockey parents? I'm not sure what greater good you think you're doing by aiming your dodgeball at the fat kid. If a parent hit you with a snowball when you called her kid for tripping, I'm interested in that. If you have some great advice to offer parents to help them be better contributors to society, I'm interested in that, as well. Stating that parents are totally clueless and should keep their mouths shut is neither interesting nor original.

There are so many cliches and generalizations in this post, I don't even know where to begin!!!!Twig wrote:Damn, alot of views and no one took the bait. Mr. Twig.... Get a clue....Squirt B rankings? cmon....and the top players at that level? What are you thinking? Oh yeah...you are a Ref and love the game. That is great. But if you have reffed and do love the game surely you are wise enough to judge talent. And the talent you speak of for Proctor is not there. They lost all three games this weekend. And talent for Twig? Same as Proctor. If you are looking for top Squirt B teams and top players at the B level you will not find them in the northern half of the state. To answer your question who are the best Squirt B teams and players, the answer is the larger Metro associations. And a chimpanzee could have told you that.

I guess you are going out on a Limb "Twig" this is kind of making my point. The game is taking a dive up north here. We dont have the numbers anymore. There was a time that small neighborhood rinks would have 2 to 3 teams at each level. Now to make a Squirt A team you need to combine half of Duluth. Im thinking it is because its not just about the kids anymore, maybe im wrong. Yea we have the beautiful new Heritage Center. But what about the rink teams. Whatever it is there arent alot of kids playing. We had played Edina 5 or 6 years ago in a tournament. The coaches for Edina asked how many teams we had. Well we had 1 with 17 kids, Edina had 9 quite hard to compete.yeahyeahyeah wrote:I am going with Edina.....Out on a limb.

OK....let's string this out a bit...what does this site have to do with kids not showing up at the park and playing hockey? I'm sorry, but I'm failing to connect the dots.Twig wrote:Its just me venting, seeing all of this on this site. do the math, its not rocket scienceilike2score wrote:Mr. Twig.... Again, I'm failing to get your point.....If you want to say the reason the parks aren't full of kids has something to do with cost or demographics, than I get you. But I don't see how a hockey blog or message board can have anything to do with dwindling numbers.....of which I'm not convinced there are....I might be wrong, but aren't there more kids playing hockey in Minnesota than ever before?Twig wrote:hmmmmm thought maybe this was a hockey blog....or maybe i should pull out the stats rankings or what ever....you know what they say if you dont like it turn the dialmuckandgrind wrote:Twig wrote: Its just me venting, seeing all of this on this site. do the math, its not rocket science
