Minnesota High School Video Game

Post by wolfpack33 »

I'm creating a Minnesota High School version of NHL '94. This first game will include all of sections 7A/8A and the better teams from 5A/6A. If people are happy with this first game I will begin work on a new game including AA teams and/or other class A sections.

Here's a sneak peak. Warroad at Detroit Lakes.

yes it is, haha. just a cool pic with two teams from the game, so i picked it. as far as wbl vs hill goes, i do not have any AA teams in the game. this was a test run and only includes the sections i see a lot of action from.

What program are you using to make this? A game with Northland and Twin Cities AA powerhouses would be great!

THE GAME IS DONE...

Post by wolfpack33 »

The game has been finished for well over a week, but forgot to post it to this site. Now i'll instruct you on how to make it playable.
Click this link:
http://www.coolrom.com/emulators/genesi ... _Plus!.php
Proceed to hit the download button.

Then, click this link:
http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=10937
Download the file in the first post.

Open that file with Gens Plus! (The emulator, or "Sega Genesis" that you just downloaded to your computer)

You will have to set up your PC controller within the game by going to "Options" and "Configure Keys". If you want to, you can set it up to play just using your keyboard, but that's really not a great way to play the game. Feel free to leave feedback. Just don't leave feedback pertaining to rosters because that would be beyond time consuming as I've already put in well over 100 hours of work and some 200 hours of work just learning to work out all the kinks in the program I used. For all of you who have been wondering, the program I used was called Tile Molester. Don't ask me where to download it, because it's tough to find a good copy anymore. Google and look closely, you'll probably find it eventually. Enough rambling, go play the game and...ENJOY! :D

I once saw this video online that had the entire game 6 of the '91 Stanley Cup recreated using NHL '94 on Sega. It went perfectly with the commentary and was pretty sweet. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? I will try and find it.

Game 6: The Movie

Here's what you're talking about...

http://www.game6.nhl91.com/
The guy who made this is pretty sick. I was able to pick his brain a little bit when making my game.

As for quality of teams in my game, I know some are bad, but these are the sections I actually care about. As far as making a AA game, it's in my brain, but not started yet. Got 75% of the way through my WCHA/CCHA/CHA game and now it is FUBAR. So...motivation level is low as of now. That might change this weekend. We'll see. I still haven't heard enough feedback from people who actually want to see this game made. I don't know how many people have even tried playing my first game. If you guys really want me to make another one you should make sure people are playing this game and leaving feedback for me.

This is sweet...I would totally play this with the AA teams in it. Do you update the attributes for each player?

Where is the link to download the game? It looks like you removed it from the forum.

Look in the post directly below the first one on that forum. It's right there in a quote box.
