Blake Bantam B

Post by Community Based »

Any particular reason Blake seems to be cranking up a Bantam B team this year after they were told by Minnesota Hockey that last season was their last? I can't imagine they missed that decision but seem to be playing dumb.

Think these boys need to head back to their association quickly or they'll end up sitting out a season.

The vote by MN Hockey was last season was their last. Are you saying after they finally cleared the air, with only youth hockey affiliates hosting youth hockey teams, they muddied it up again? Why would they go backwards on that decision? Finally some clarity. I don't see your suggested decision reflected in the MN Hockey minutes.

Give it a rest Community Based. Why does this bother you so much? It probably doesn't even affect you or your kid but you're determined to ruin it for the other kids. I think your continued efforts to push your point have bored everyone on this "bored"!! Let it go - move on - get a life. Why don't you find a worthwhile cause like helping end world hunger or becoming a big brother to a kid who needs one. You might end up a happier person and definitely have more friends. Trying to stop young kids in private schools from being able to play on teams together just doesn't merit this much dedication and passion.

Sorry everyone else - all this rain makes me cranky!

You are right that they voted to discontinue Blake's "Charter", but they were granted admission into MNHockey several years ago for three years and at the end of that period that must go back infront of MNHockey and ask for three more years. This is the last year of the three year agreement. MNHockey voted not to support Blake hockey after the current agreement expired (which is after this upcoming season). They will be playing this season in District 3, with a new coach, and from what I hear several outstanding players (No, I don't have a kid playing or going to school there).

Doglover you right on on this. I'm sick of seeing and reading CB's posts. Why too much "passion and dedication" to this small issue....

Hello, rules provide order in our society and are to be followed by all. I'm sick and tired, to borrow a quote, of selfish parents trying to fool the system and do things that only benefit themselves and their family. Check the girls youth forum as there's a good story about the Blaine 12UA coach recruiting kids from neighboring communities to the Blaine organization. Is that ok too? Just everyone go do what they want without considering anyone else, or the rules?

Also, they changed the residency requirement, and made a mess of easy to understand rules, allowing kids to register with the youth hockey affiliate where they attend school. All the Blake kids could/should have registered with Hopkins and played together with their classmates. Done, within the rules.

Play where you live and then comes high school. High Schools offer open enrollment, youth hockey does not. Or play with the designated MN Hockey Youth Affiliate where your child attends school. You fussed for choice, you have choice. Oh, not good enough? You want to be the only school in the state with a youth hockey team and that seems fair and equal to you? Not equal. These 6 parents, out of 13,000, are selfish babies and need to be told to follow the rules like every other family in the state.

Excuse me but I'm sure the majority of hockey families in the state, even MN hockey leadership, is tired of the rule benders, not the rule followers.

Community based...first of all you need to keep up with the rules...

#1.) The affiliate rules have been tabled by Minnesota Hockey
#2.) If your kid was a A/B level player and you lived in Hopkins, I am sure your story and crying on here would be different if an A level Blake player stepped in a knocked your kid off the A team.

#3.) I agree...give it a rest..It wont matter when they get into high school anyway.
