Hopefully this is not a parent from the MACHINE or BLADES posting this topic. There are many good programs offered for this level of player and they all have different objectives with their players/teams. At the 97 Level these players are not even out of PEEWEES so lets not make comparisions between programs and players just yet. Let the kids play and enjoy the summer hockey and at the end of the summer this might be more appropriate topic... even then I question why you would want to post this topic. REALLY! Just because the Blades won in Detroit and the Machine was dominate through the Meltdown means nothing at this point in time - they are 11/12 years old. Give your egos a rest and enjoy the warmer weather ahead!

No I don't have a kid that is a 97', and no not MM or blades, or showcase ...I do have 3 kids that are involved in a AAA program. I see that there are a lot of programs out there and I see a lot of info on 99,00, and 98...just thought I would see how the 97 AAA programs are doing. I have a 94,98, and 01 (skating as a practice player on 99/00 team). They skate for the Reebok Nationals. (and I know that they, 97', are doing well won warrior cup and chi town shuffle)

WOW! Congratulations... have they signed their LETTERS OF INTENT for their D1 programs yet? I'm sure Johnny, Joey and Jimmy Gretzky will be a stars someday! Obviously you are happy with your Reebok Nationals program - tell the boys to keep up the good work daddy surehockey. ('')

And yes I am happy with the NEEHS, just wanted to see what other 97' groups out there are doing well. No need to bite my head off...

Sure, are you positive the team at the Warrior Cup and the one in the ChiTown Shuffle was the same roster? Did the one in chicago perhaps have many different players, and not from minnesota?
Was a duster and paying for it?????

I've seen your 97 group play and they do look like a nice group of skaters and a team moving in the right direction. SORRY I hurt your feelings since you have a high level of sensitivity - I wish your boys well mr./mrs.(?) tranny surehockey. Now just take it EASY - just having some FUN! On a hockey team my role would be classified as an AGGITATOR! ('') I have a tendency to spend a lot of time in the SINBIN!

Beyond the obvious (Machine/Blades programs) the 97 ICEMEN have a very good team. The 97 Synergy squad is very talented and the 97 Legacy (formerly Cyclones) have a good program even though I have not seen them play yet this summer. These teams are not ranked in any particular order. As for other 97 level teams/programs, I have not had the opportunity to see and will not speculate on their talent level and the programs objectives. I know there are other programs out there offering quality opportunities to players to help move their games forward in a positive direction. Keep up the good work for those out there putting in the time and effort.

surehockey - I hope that was better and meets your personal criteria pertaining to appropriate response to the topic. Still think this is a STUPID TOPIC - that is just me! To many parents out here are just soliciting responses in hopes that their program is praised as great and maybe their player might be mentioned. There are BETTER topics if discussion on this board beyond which team or player is the BEST. Again, just my opinion - sorry if you disagree.

The team that won the 97 Chi-Town was from St. Louis, most of the kids had St. Louis Jr Blues "colors" and many parents were sporting their wear.

I believe that Keith Tkachuk was around when they were playing.

The 97 MN Northern Edge Nationals won the Warrior Cup Open tournament.

The 97 STL Elite Hockey Northern Edge Nationals won the Chi -Town Shuffle. Invite tourney.

2 Different teams, similar name 600 miles apart.

Correct, this is pretty much St. Louis Blues AAA winter team with maybe a few different names on it for whatever reason (like a tryout for next season). STL AAA does not have a spring program so they use NEEHS as a umbrella for their spring hockey.
Tkachuk has son playing on that team.
Also I think CYA is worth mentioning, they are probably most improved team from a year ago....

I didn't think that the MN team went, but I went and looked at scores and it had them down, should have identified them as the St. Louis team, they have in the past...my bad
