there is only 1 player on lakeville that played varsity, there was also one player that had 5-7 games on varsity so 3-5 is a stretch, we also have kids that are were playing on the c teams there whole lives and as you could tell we didnt shorten the bench in any game except the championship and then we only shortened it with 5 minutes left in the game

It needs to be said that two years ago Wayzata had two B teams, but stacked the one and three years ago did the same thing and won state. Now, I think most people would agree had Wayzatas, Edinas or WBLs teams chosen to put the top players on one team, the champion most likely would come from them. This years Lakeville team was not quite as dominant as last years team IMO. Several teams gave them a good game. So I think it is absolutely silly to insinuate that Lakeville should play A. This years lakeville team played in my mind at the right level and should remain at B.

Now last years lakeville team was insanely good. There were reports that the varsity 2nd best scorer chose not to play varsity and ended up playing JGB. Edina last year basically had a JGA team playing at JGB bc a ton of varsity/JV players dropped to A. Lakeville beat that edina team three times convincingly. How many varsity players were on this team and how many points did those guys get?

Sauce, I would be curious to see you compare the two teams and say which one was better.

Congrats on winning state Lakeville

I think if you take away Dangle Tank, Lakeville isn't nearly as good. Look back at your own coaches numbers post and see that a handful of guys have JV/V experience. Dangle Tank is that dominant. I heard my boy Spencer Heley rocked his ass though, good

yo plankton you can take one player from anyteam and they wont be good. take away your goalie and you wouldnt be good. But fyi tank got suspended this year and we were 3-0 without him.

kraven- not to hate on my team this year but last years team was more dominant. we had one fluke loss and one legit loss in a shootout to WBL. other than they we were a better team than this year. Our first line was amazing, but our best player this year was better than our best last year, only by a little but still better.

and our goalie this year was amazing. which is amazing because he didnt play hockey for the last two years. last year we had one solid goalie and one so-so and we rotated but the team in front was just more dominant.

Idk Sauce those two kids on your team last year were pretty good and IMO a little better than 87 and 71 but just my opinion. 87 and 71 were still very good players though. o and gg in state by the way :)

hey after " the big guy" on lakeville 13 or 87 came up and shook my hand and congratulated me after they won, i gained all respect for him.

after looking at him in the hotel and seeing him in the elevator i thought he was a fat ____ (fill in blank).

i watched him in previous games and i thought he was a one way player that only worked when he had the puck...during the announcements i eyed him down thinkin that he was nothin but a hack...but after playing him i realized that he was the center of his team...he made big hits to get them excited and could really work the puck around and put the bisket in the basket!!!

hats off to "the big guy" and good luck in your future

no im saying you guys would still be good without dangle tank, just not nearly as good. the dude demanded attention everytime he touched the puck, and we played a lot of games without our main tender and we still had a pretty good record so i think we still would have been a top team without our goalie. is dangle tank a senior?

ya OMGhockey6 its a tough call but our 13 was def better than our number 8 last year. but its tough between 13 and our 7 from the older team. they're different players. 7 was faster but our 13 couldnt get stripped it was hard to take the puck from him. its hard to compare cuz theyre different players

Ok. well if you arent then why did you 'pretend' to be? and then be so quick to stand up?
I am just saying, im glad that you feel tough trash talking over the internet..
I assumed you are from this post when the IGH Coach said: Scott O. you are a class act with giving my player the puck after the game.

Then right away you say like your Scott O. Sauce: my bad in no way was i saying that you were lucky to win. That was a very close game and could go either way i was just trying to show that i think your goalie is very good.

Which is in the district 8 playoffs/ scores thread.. My apology if your not.

Plankton wrote:Dangle Tank was the best player in JGB i dont think anyone was questioning that. I would also have to say that he seemed to be pretty lazy and when he got the puck thats when he turned it on, thats what i noticed playing vs him and also watching him. Lakeville should move up and play A if they have kids that use to play varsity. There are JGA teams that have kids that have never played varsity and lakeville has what 3-5 kids that used to?
I heard they had like 12... but I could be wrong, thats only what I heard

FYI, Lakeville did play the 16U Champion Champlin Park and did not dominate them.

It was 5-3 game in the Albert Lea tournament. The first period of that game was Champlin's worst period of the season. Champlin Park is more than capable of beating Lakeville.

Champlin Park beat a few JR Gold B teams this year, St Thomas twice, Hudson, and Wessy's Boys.

A good 16U team beats an average JR Gold B team most of the time.

champlin park is not more capable of beating any of the top JGB teams. they couldnt beat lakeville wayzata edina wbl or any other top team. We got up like 4-0 in the first and slacked the rest of the game.

You need to understand my comments better, Champlin played their worsdt period of the year in the first period of that game. Your 13 had a hat trick and the other 2 goals by Lakeville were soft ones given up by our goalie. All the players except #13 are just average B players on your team.

Champlin Park dominated the 16U state, every game was over 1/2 way through the 2nd period.

You don't give Champlin enough credit and over estimate your team.
