Can anyone confirm or deny the rumors that Amato, Perlinger, Meyer, Lutzka and Schindel are all leaving the Hounds next year to find somewhere else to play? Since they are already losing Forbort that seems like it would be tough to overcome?
I don't know if this is true, and I don't want to be a rumor starter, but it is what I heard, does anyone have any insight?

I have no idea about this, but I don't know where Lutzka, Schendel, or Meyer would go. They're all pretty good players, but I don't think any of them are ready for juniors yet, and Junior Gold would be a step down, particularly when they are in a position to play very important roles on next year's team. If they are seriously considering leaving, then they must have some very strong reason. I don't think that should be speculated upon until it happens, if it even does.
If we assume everyone is coming back, they have 4 spots to fill at forward, 4 spots on defense, and the goalie.
I did some creeping on the youth forum and found 2 East second year bantams on the USHL central scouting list, so I'd expect that we'd see them next year. There is also a defenseman listed as being with "Duluth," so I'm not sure if that means East or not.
We'll just have to wait and see how things develop.

Duluth East Hockey Fan please do not make statements that are not true. I have spoken to Lutzkas, Schendels, Meyers, and Perlingers parents and NONE of them are considering leaving. The only question might be Forbort who will have some great opportunities in front of him. East looks solid next year with Jeanetta and Perlinger in the nets Welinsky, Bergerson, Olson, hopefully Forbort, hopefully Amato and Repensky from the Bantam team they wont be the same early on as this year but it looks like a reload to me. Up front Lutzka, Schendel, Mellin, Meyer, a solid group of Juniors from JV and some talented Bantam forwards moving up East could surpise some teams, I predict they will be back at the X.
