Its a formal banguet, all the coaches sit up in front with each other (just like at a wedding dinner.) Dinner is served, and after a while some JGB association people talk and then all the individual coaches give a speech about their team and what ever else. haha thats about it! its funPlankton wrote:and coaches give speeches or what, never been to one just curious as to how it works any JGB veterans know how it worked from last year?

Lets just hope Edinas coach doesn't embarrass himself and all of Edina this year!
when the edina coach gave his speech he looked over at white bear (they all had their hair bleached) and started goin' off on them (do not know what he said word for word but it was something like)...how their parents must sleep together and that they are all incest brothers and blah blah blah...
not sure if this is true...but rumor had it...that before or after the white bear lake coach gave his speech, he walked over, grabbed the cake, and set it on edinas table!!!

I heard from another parent at the U14 levlel that the banquets are a "no go this year.
I think the reason is people from the out of town areas from where the tournament is held had legitimate concerns about extra cost for travel and missing school...
