What a surprise a private school from the cities winning the State Tournament . . . I'm so shocked.

Congratulations on winning the state tournament, Breck. Great season for Warroad, too, as for all the tournament teams. There are 100s of school that would gladly trade places.

Congrats, and now it's time for me to come here and say:

Little Falls has lost to the eventual state champion 3 years in a row now so all you people think about that for once and just gather your thoughts on what this before I tell you:

If Little Falls never got beaten in an earlier round by the champions they would have gotten 2nd place 3 years in a row I feel for their bad luck but I congratulate Breck on a great season and Warroad for thiers along with all other schools in both tournys this year.
I would think about that for a second, except it happened to Fergus Falls 6 out of seven years...the other was a quarterfinal loss to the eventual runner up Hermantown.....and it doesn't change anything for the Otters...

How so xavier? Just because they lost to the state champion doesn't make them the second best team. Using your logic, Rochester Lourdes should have finished second since they lost to Breck. Yes, I understand that Little Falls has gotten some tough first round games the last few years, but being unseeded, they really didn't deserve to make it the semifinals (in those years). Not trying to bash Little Falls, but your logic is flawed.

My little brother came on here and used my name, notice how I deleted it right away? He's cocky as crap. Anyways, congrats to Breck on the well done season and to everyone else and I think the All Tourny team was well put together and would be amazing to see play a scrimmage against the AA All Tourny team just for fun.

I was just going to bring that up. If everyone is going to hate on St. Thomas and want them to move to AA, they should do the same for Breck. Since 2000 Breck has 3 state titles and St. Thomas has 2...

Now I wouldn't want either of them to move up because it keeps class A extremely competitive. If all of the good teams move up to AA then we might as well just scratch class A and go to a one class system.

i see your point nipeshow but isn't that kind of defeating the purpose of single A. i believe it was created to give more towns a chance. i think perennial A powers should move up and would have loved to see st. thomas in the AA tourney last year

Excuse me? I dont call this being "BLOWN OUT" ...

2007
Little Falls 3
Hermantown 5

2008
Little Falls 3
STA 5

2009
Little Falls 1
Breck 6

get your facts straight.. only one that was even close to a blow out was this years semis versus breck

Being from Warroad is was sad seeing them lose to Breck today but I must say it was a good game down to the end. Brecks speed and goalie were the difference in the game and I am very proud our boys battled it out to the end. Congrats to Breck on winning and a big Congrats to Warroad we are all proud of you up here!

Congrats to Breck. I was very impressed with their speed and skill. And they had a fantastic goalie. Great job.

BTW, I'm a LF fan and I wouldn't talk smack about being second best. Warroad gave Breck a much tougher game than LF did. Warroad actually outshot Breck and had many quality chances against them. LF had very few scoring opportunities in their game w/ Breck. I would love to see a LF vs. Warroad game though. Would have been fun to watch.

I see Breck only had two seniors on the roster. Are any leaving for Junior hockey? If all those kids come back, they should be the favorites again.

BTW, whoever wins the AA championship, I bet Breck could give them a hell of a run for their money.

Congratulations to the Mustangs.

They showed very clearly that they were the best team in the tourney.
