WCHA First Round - (10) Michigan Tech @ (1) North Dakota

Post by Lucia4President »

The WCHA Regular Season Champion Fighting Sioux open the WCHA playoffs at home against the Michigan Tech Huskies this weekend. North Dakota (22-12-4) has been one of the hottest teams in the nation since January 1. The Sioux wrapped up the MacNaughton Cup with a win over Wisconsin in Madison Friday night.

Michigan Tech (6-23-7) had some luck against the Sioux this year, going 1-1-1 against them during the season. The Huskies managed to split with Minnesota last weekend at home.

Who do you think will win the series, and why?

I'll pick a North Dakota sweep.

Same. Huskies just can't put it together long enought to make a run to St. Paul. Norht Dakota is very physical and will when big both Friday and Sat.

North Dakota 2 games, Mich. Tech 1 goal. You think you have it bad? Imagine what being a Tech fan feels like.

Sioux have it in the bag. Judging by tonight's game, Sioux sweep for sure. Huskies need to play hard just to stay in the game.

GO SIOUX.
