Leddy scores 4 and gets 2 assists and one bone crushing hit on that little cocky Zepeda :D :D :D
Sounds like a little bit of bitterness from a WBL fan whose average team didn't make the tourney. (Get him a waahmburger and some french cries)
No you meant a bitter WBL fan whose team should have made the tournament but didn't :P
Actually no, I meant a bitter WBL fan whose average team that didn't deserve to make the tourney didn't make it.

yea, that cocky little zepeda who has a career statline against WBL of

6 G, 6A in 10 games

must suck being dominated by the same player game in and game out.

oh, and it makes you feel any better, he has been playing through an injury this year, and that section semi final in which he had 2 goals and an assist.

So, this little WBL/HM brawl has spilled over into the neighboring bar, back to the thread:

EP 3
HM 1
with an empty netter

is my prediction

I'm actually from EP and cheering for EP, but I see WBL people all over this forum complaining and it pisses me off. They lost, get over it.

breakout wrote: Ya "Karl", good point HM is use to playing in front of 18,000 people.

How many HM veterans from last year? Few. How many returners kicked off for "social reasons"?

How many Hill kids have played in a state championship game at any level ...... few.

Players typically get over the attendance in the first few shifts. Mr. Spehar has said that.

I am sure the EP parents loved your "couple of parents" line.
This is drifting into an odd/silly argument.

I like EP; I think they are very capable of winning the thing this year, and perhaps over the coming years too, so long as the right players stick around. But I have very high standards, and I'm not one to go jumping completely onto bandwagons because a group has achieved a lot at a lower level.

Sure, there aren't a ton of Hill players left from last year...but there are a few, and the 4AA playoffs seem to show that those ones know what they are doing. I don't like Hill at all, but they know how to do the little things that win important games, which I have a lot of respect for. Hence the gist of the original post, which said that if EP doesn't step on Hill early and lets the Pioneers stay in the game, I like Hill's chances.

I am very intrigued by this game, and look forward to seeing it in person.

From the team preview/ state tourney guide:

http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/page/show_ar ... 2770/24531
(Hill) will enter play with designs on going 3-0 for the
weekend for the second straight season.

I will officially resign from this forum if that happens.
Promise.

I hope EP wins, but it would also be a lot of fun to see Hill win after what they've gone through. You have to give the coach a lot of credit.

Obviously nothing to worry about then. However, stranger things have happened.

I was hoping seeing your #1 seeded Titans lose to a #8 seed would be enough to keep ya away.   I still find humor in it!

EP is deeper and more talented but I think Hill has a much better chance at pulling off an upset than some give them credit for. EP is good, in fact, they're very good, but they weren't exactly outstanding against Tonka. Perhaps they still haven't peaked yet.

Fact is, despite their experience at lower levels, they haven't been to the State HS tourney in a long time, and may need a year just to get the jitters out (see Edina in 2007).

Hill on the other hand has absolutely nothing to lose. Everyone wrote them off back when the 3 players got busted, and they've been under the radar ever since. I for one wouldn't be surprised to see them come out flying and hitting hard like they did last year. Zepeda will be flying out there, watch for it.

I'm not predicting any other upsets, but I'll predict this one: Hill Murray 4, Eden Prairie 3

Again, EP has far more talent and depth but I think Hill is the scariest unseeded team in the tourney, no doubt about it. Moorhead is a little scary too, but Hill has nothing to lose and everything to play for.

4 players were dismissed from the team due to those events...but recently Ive read a couple places three players..why is that? when did it change from the 4 correct number to the incorrect 3 players?

its 4

as far as jitters go, both teams will have them. Zepeda and Jordan Johnson will probably be the only 2 players that are real comfortable. the teams get the benefit of the 11am game to not think about it as they watch the other games.

I cant predict this game. My brain says EP has more talent, but my heart says HM should pull off the upset with the heart they have been playing with. This should be a good game with lots of speed and some nice defense from both teams.

3-2 final score but I cant say who

Hill is definitely an unseeded team I wouldn't wanna face first round. However, even with a couple of very good players, they don't have enough depth or experience to pull off a win. Still, should be a good game.

I really think this will be a tough game for Hill, but Tyler Zepeda is a force to be reckoned with. If anyone can pull off the first round upset it will be Hill. Hopefully their sophomore goalie can do what Flip did last year for them. Should be a very close game.

Even though I think it will be close, the Eagles are just too deep for the Pioneers. Is there anything left in Hill's tank? EAGLES 4, PIONEERS 2

You gotta believe this game will be closer than most think but I don't believe in the upset, and I really don't like private schools.
