What are the Bengals lines and D pairings at least in the Centennial game?
jeezz i love how nobody is even giving Century a chance. they have a good team they will compete with Blaine its just gonna be the fact if Sellnow will stay stong all 3 periods i believe they can pull the upset but it would have to be a hard earned grinded out win..
this is the smartest thing said yet on this topic.. century needs to play solid d zone and not let the blaine so called studs (i say so called cuz i dont know a lot about them) be crashing on rebounds all game.. if there is going to be a first round upset, it will come from this game.

I just can't see an upset in the quarter finals for any team in the AA! The 1-4 seeds are just to strong!

Have you seen Blaine play this year? or any team outside of Rochester for that matter?
Blaine has 2 sick lines, and third/fourth lines that grind it out whenever they get in there. They will be throwing the puck at Sellnow all afternoon. I just dont see how a goalie who gave up 3 goals each game in sections can hold down any ranked team in this tournament.

But hey if im wrong, feel free to come back here rub it in my face all you want.

How can you say that's smart? Of course every team has a chance. But seriously, in any ranking you look at, Century is ranked in the 50's and Blaine is top 10. Let's be real here. Century has a punchers chance and that's it.

These could have changed slightly since the last time I saw them play in person but...

Frischmon, Bayer, Turnquist
Tufte, Bjugstad, Scheid

Larsen, Brockway
Blomquist, Wagamon
Reichart, Maki

They mix and match the 3rd line, maybe minnesotaice can fill in the blanks for me.

Alright all you haters, heres whats gonna happen. Ive been watching this two teams pretty closely and now that century has a full lineup, i think blaine is in for a suprise. Watch for century to come out hard and get a quick one. Blaine thinks this is gonna be a walk in the park, so its gonna take them a quick goal to understand that century is a contender and not a joke. after the first goal its gonna be close. 1-1 going into the second. blaine will have the lead going into the 3rd by 1 or 2 goals. century will give them a run for their money and maybe we'll be suprised, but blaine will probably come out on top.

Just found out today Nick Maki is being shifted to RW.

3rd line never seems to be the same every time but mostly:
Kovalchuk, C. Wagamon, Brovold
(Brodzinski, and Jensen as well)

minnesotaice, have you seen rochester play this year? i agree with you blaine has 2 sick lines centered by frischmon and bjugstad, both legit hockey players, but you fail to realize the solidity of century's lines. The third line is just as good as the first. Joe Faupel the leader in goals when century got 3rd in 07 is on the third line! Century is a force to be reckoned with if sellnow can be solid, if not, Blaine will come out on top

If Blaine is looking at this game like most of you are, they will be in for a huge suprise. Century is definitely capable of pulling an upset which they have shown in their last 2 games. They have jumped to an early lead in both games and that is what it will take to beat Blaine. If Sellnow can perform at his best, they will be a tough team to beat. The Panthers will show up ready for this game.

Obviously upsets can happen, it is, after all, high school hockey. The bottom line is that Century simply can't match Blaine for talent....From the looks of it their best win on the year is Tartan early in the year...

Actually they put Jensen back at the blue line for the Centennial game. I don't remember who his defensive partner was but I did notice that Richart didn't touch the ice until late in the 3rd and he took two penalties in his short time on the ice. I'm not sure why Aus did this. Maybe to utilize Jensen's big shot? I did like it thought. Blaine seemed to be getting better shots from the point with Jensen than they would with Richart. It obviously worked for them so hopefully they will do it again vs Century.
I get older they stay the same age, alright alright

Having graduated last year, I can only go by the schedules. However I would call beating Duluth East 3-2 probably their best win.

This is VERY intriguing because now that Maki got changed to Forward, we will see Jensen out on the ice more defensively. I know that Maki wasnt seeing a lot of ice time with Richart being out-sized on the rink. This is definitely a positive coaching move from Dave Aus as Jensen and Maki both can put quality shots on goal.
[ Funny how Arbour, Cooper and Mellin didn't play. People that take that game and say Century is good are high and don't understand hockey. Century has a good goalie but they have no goal scorers. I mean only 3 goals on a sophs first ever varsity game? Those 3 were garbage goals anyway. I think Blaine is just too strong and good for Century. Nice run, but Tigers 6 Decades 1
EHSHack actually Mellin did play that game agianst Century he left early when he went head first into the boards in the 2nd period and was carted off in stretcher.
did Century diserve the win, no, but like howdypartiner said a win is a win
